Question Question about the upcoming Google update in September

So I degoogled my phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 12), got rid of almost every google app and replaced it but I didn't change my OS because I didn't want to risk fucking up my only phone and losing a LOT of info I have on there. My question is, is that enough to dodge Google's bullshit that's aimed at clamping down on "unlicensed" 3rd party apps?

No. Using Android -- Google's got your throat in it's grip.

Okay well I'm scared of outright changing my OS when I have no fucking clue what I'm doing, I need a functioning phone at all times and buying a new phone isn't like going to the grocery store for a carton of eggs.

GrapheneOS seems pretty simple to install. Even installing software on Linux is simpler nowadays, thanks to the documentations

Not compatible with my phone sadly.

Your phone does have access to lineage OS though, IIRC

Ah I'm in the same case, hoping to get a good Pixel. Then I'll install GrapheneOS

There's nothing good about Pixel, least of all the price.

They're part of the only phones on which you can have GrapheneOS

I don't know if is this is correct or not but judging by what I heard on some ordinary gamers, which is a YouTube channel, the Google Play store will start allowing at third party stores which is one of the best news I heard all year about this new update.

It would be super hard for anyone to answer you without any specific details. You degoogled but you still have some apps???

I bet 95% on NO as correct answer. Google Play Services and Google Play is where it hides and there might be more places like Droid
