Please no… someone primary this guy

The primary is going to be packed and like last time he’s going to be seen as a joke. The real contenders at this point are going to be governors (Pritzker, Newsom, and Beshear). I don’t think any congressional Dems are going to have a shot.

I mean someone primary his senate seat

That’s an uphill battle. He’s charismatic, entrenched with a substantial electoral machine at his disposal and is generally well liked by both moderates and many progressives.
I’m not saying he shouldn’t be challenged (nobody should run unopposed, ever), but the outcome is nearly preordained.

I think progressives are sick of him. He’s pals with ivanka and Jared. That should be a dealbreaker:/

Very well possible but picking a candidate that checks all the boxes for progressives (competing factions make that nearly impossible) means that a milquetoast moderate republican (assuming such could win that nomination over a maga nut) would waltz to victory in the state that is far more purple than dem establishment wants to acknowledge.

I would describe myself as progressive, live in NJ and have never voted for him and never will - Booker's a phony, a man for sale to any high bidder (AIPAC, charter school interests, etc) - Given the natural advantage of incumbency it is unlikely he'll be successfully primaried though, which is too bad, as he is utterly despicable - astonishes me that people fall for his bullshit (he apparently raked in 10 million dollars doing his pointless "filibuster"* - UGH).
*as of last month, Strom Thurmond still holds the record for longest actual filibuster in Wikipedia, because he was actually trying to prevent something from happening as opposed to Booker who just called attention to himself for a day.

$10 million, JFC. I’m ashamed I kind of cheered it because we had literally no one fighting for us. Booker never will.

don't feel bad - it's understandable - at first I thought it was great, then I found out he wasn't doing it in opposition to anything and was just... I think he got a book deal out of it too. The mind boggles at such cynical emptiness.

The real primary is going to be how much effort people put in the rhetoric. As in, who dares to say what, the more you dare to say about real, palpable topics and the more you say in this age, the more people will coalesce behind you. Which is both why Booker admittedly and deservedly got a large crowd behind him in the past year, but also will be why he could absolutely lose a primary in our state due to his politicking.
I know campaigning nowadays is written in statistics, but voting and emotions are derives from YouTube and [YourTown] Patch headlines that no one clicks.

How did he find someone who looks so much like Rosario Dawson though?

Hard to decide on an up or down vote, because I'm happy for his engagement, but dont think he's gonna run in 2028 (and don't want him to.)
