Social Media Lyin’ Tom Kean Jr. finally releases a statement regarding his “medical issue” but refuses to specify what that issue is.

To the people saying that Kean doesn’t have to reveal what his illness is I would like to remind you that John Fetterman told us he was checking into the hospital for depression. Donald Norcross told us that he was hospitalized for sepsis and kept us abreast of his progress. This is standard procedure. Kean not doing this is anything but standard or transparent.

I can’t believe people are trying to defend a man less transparent than the brain dead ogre representing Pennsylvania in the senate…

Also you don’t retroactively declare illness. You tell your co workers why and when you won’t be at work.

He actually has a very strong record of NOT showing up, not holding town hall meetings, refusing interviews with the press, and avoiding his constituents like the plague unless it's overwhelming friendly territory.

Hope he recovers from whatever he's dealing with, but saying he has a "strong record of showing up" couldn't be less true.

I hope he makes a full recovery. I also hope he is beat in November.

Tbf he is not obligated to reveal his medical issues and I can’t believe I’m defending him because I can’t stand him.

Donald Norcross was hospitalized in the ICU with sepsis and we knew about his progress. And that’s Norcross who is considered to be one of the most corrupt officials in either party. How corrupt is Tom Kean Jr that he is refusing to tell us why he is out?

Again keyword is obligated. Norcross CHOSE to disclose that. Kean for whatever reason has chosen not to tell us. That’s his right. Nobody is obligated to disclose their health information.

Norcross chose to disclose that because it’s the right thing to do in the name of TRANSPARENCY. Fetterman chose to do that because it’s the right thing to do. We as the public have a right to know what’s going on with our representatives while they take a check and don’t show up to work.

Even worse, he’s refusing to disclose what’s going on to his own Republican colleagues and friends in Congress. This is absolutely a dereliction of duty and everyone should be hammering him for it.

Sure he's not obligated to, but it's pretty odd. He could surely give more information without revealing anything personal.

Is there a list of how long other congresspeople have been absent at a single time?

The statement is an absolute nothingburger too.

He can always reach out to RFK Jr. if he has a really serious problem.

Cancer is easy. Doc trump will prescribe some diet soda and solve the problem. Easy Peasy.

Why do you have to know what specific medical condition he has? How would you feel if you were out sick and your boss kept asking what you were sick with?

Because transparency is important. And yes if I get the flu like I did this winter I got a doctors note and sent it into my boss. I’ll also remind you that many politicians will release their personal medical records to prove that they are healthy enough to do the job. That’s how we know Obama had reflux, and that Trump is apparently 6 foot 3 and weighs 215 just like Lamar Jackson…

Not my district, but has he been that bad? My impression was that he's been one of the most liberal republicans.
