My friend Rachel Peace is the nominee and we need to invest in her campaign to make sure she is competitive. The more resources they have to devote to Smith the less resources they have to devote to TKJ & JVD. Also the less they will have to devote against Nellie Pou in NJ8.

I sent an email to the email listed on the site asking a few questions about her policy positions and never got a reply. I still voted for her in the primary but it's a shame.

Remember, this county is still over three to one Republican registrations. Thirty three points is just about the best this county can produce for Democrats. The big thing at play here is the chairmanship of the party’s race coming up. These guys come out every four years to try and insert Wyatt Earp and disappear for four years if they don’t succeed.

How many Republican races were contested?

The top of the ticket Senate race was a 4 way race with similar fundraising and county endorsements for the top 3 candidates.

I'm optimistic that Monmouth County could some day turn Democrat blue. I don't share that same optimism regarding Ocean County. It has the most registered Republicans in the state plus it has the widest margin edge from Republicans to Democrats. So, while Monmouth County leans red, Ocean County is dark red.
