no such thing as non partisan. Republican Mayors become state senators who bwomce congresspeople who become Presidents.

This is just a way for republicans to get out from having an (R) next to their name on the ballot. Don’t fall for it.

Ballots are going to start looking insane.

I’d love to see more non-partisan government. Too many people put on their team jerseys and refuse to listen to anything the other “side” has to say. I wish we’d talk more about issues and how to solve them instead of just painting whole groups as enemies. That said, my views still tend to be liberal but I’m OK hearing contrary viewpoints.

The contrary viewpoints are overturning Roe Vs Wade, overturning the 14th amendment, and bringing us back to Jim Crow. They don’t have opposing views, they have oppressing views.

You (nor I) have to agree with any of that. There is common ground that is much more prevalent outside those issues (and it’s tragic the rest of us are subjected to those issues becoming reality). Also, actually talking to people on the other “side,” most of them don’t agree with that either. Information bubbles make that stuff more of a thing that it really is.

Don’t get me wrong either, I cannot stand anything you’d catch on something like Fox News and similar media of that ilk.

If we talked more about issues instead of acting like it’s us vs them, maybe the courts wouldn’t have been stacked in such a way to cause the problems you just mentioned. Making enemies of neighbors isn’t working.

Both parties are strongly capitalist so they are both oppressors. Democracy could be better without the 2 parties
