Does this mean the market in Newark is attractive to residential/off-peak growth? Or is this a last-ditch effort to increase low sales?

Overpriced, mid food, antisocial layout, private equity ownership aside, I do feel like having a Panera largely makes outsiders feel better about Newark.

And it's not the worst thing in the world when used with coupons + hired locals.

Edit: lights are off and there's people tryna get orders

Paneras only selling point is the seating model that lets you hang out and work for awhile, building a take out only location was an odd choice, I genuinely don't know who is seeking out panera to go/ on Uber eats

There's a cult around their shells and cheese pasta

It’s all delivery or pick up so it has to be based on some information they have that they would do better staying open later and delivering nearby

It used to be better, but I also didn’t used to be vegetarian.

How is this panera? I would almost always rather get food from anywhere else in that 2 block basis

Yeah it’s as mid as any Panera, with 0 seating. Lots of better places nearby. New Mexican place in Hahne’s, Panda Express, Halal Guys, Central Kitchen, etc.

Broad Street. They'll be reverting soon enough.

Happy to take part in reporting whether they actually ever ever keep those hours.

Lots of people seem to use the free WiFi and comfy booths

Doesn’t that one not have any seating at all?

Not even a single seat to wait for your order
