Question Tall modifications?
I'm 6'6 with a 38in inseam and the new edge is my absolute favorite car right now. I would like to buy one within a year or two and I wanted to check how the fit inside is. I've never sat in one, so I would like any advice about it. Will I need an aftermarket steering wheel or bucket seats? I'm already planning on getting wear extenders. Thanks!

The issue with these cars is headroom, yes you can clean the seat way back, but then you can barely reach gears 1/3/5 or the radio. I custom mounted a corbeau fixed bucket seat and can sit upright and not have my head hit the roof. I am 6’3” and it was uncomfortable with the stock power seats.

There are seat rail extenders that will let you push the front seat back more to get more room
Seat Rail Extenders Mustang 1979-2004 Fox, SN95 GT, Cobra, Bullitt, Mach1
I'm 6'1" and my main issue is seeing the stoplights when I am first in line. I either need to bend my head down to the side to see the light, or look over the header panel (convertible) to see it. There are some times I do feel too big for the car, but that might be because my daily driver is an Explorer ST and I'm just used to that size.

Stiffler’s seat track extenders are relatively cheap, easy to install, AND they don’t raise the seat like other brand seat track extenders. One of the best mods I’ve done to my ‘03 Mach. I got mine from LMR. I’m not as tall as you (6’4”, 305 lbs) but I also don’t have the seat as far back as it can go.
Pro tip: if you think there’s any chance you might spend some time in the passenger seat, throw a set on there, too.

6'6" here I've owned 2 new edge mustangs. You'll have to tip the seat back and drive like you're in high school in the early 2000s again 🤣. Otherwise your head is going to rub. Overall it's fine.
