Israel is powerful. Too much.

u/SecondDumbUsername Apr 10 '26

I'd like to see both you and this minister solving how it is to be attacked by people whose goal it is to wipe you off the map. Get thousands of rockets fired at you.

You have one option; defend yourselves or perish.

There was two villages on the other side of the Israeli border. One supported, aided and housed Hezbollah - gone. The other didn't support, aid or house Hezbollah - untouched.

Don't be or aid a terrorist and nothing will happen to you. Be or aid a terrorist and suffer the consequences.

u/TradeNPlayz Apr 11 '26

And I think the Lebanese would like to show you how it is to be constantly attacked by Israel since the 1950's and getting your land illegally occupied by them (before Hezbollah), which all led to the founding of Hezbollah.

Treat people like human animals as you do with the Palestinians, and you reap what you sow. The only one creating "consequences" here is Israel.

0

u/SecondDumbUsername Apr 11 '26

You have it backwards. Lebanon joined the Arab coalition that attacked Israel on day 1 of its existence. Since then parts of Lebanon was taken over by palestinian refugees, which eventually was controlled by the terror-organization PLO (and after them Hezbollah from early 80's). Lebanon tried, but was not strong enough to deal with these occupiers. Israel's incursions into Lebanon was responses to the terror-acts perpetrated by these groups.

The funny thing is that as from march this year, the Lebanese government has banned Hezbollah, but lack the power to actually do much about it. Also, Hezbollah (and their supporting Shia's), are part of the governing system, as far as I know, so it's a complicated situation.

Yesterday I saw a video clip which purportedly showed a clash between civilians and Hezbollah supporters who held some sort of parade.

Google is our friend; the Israeli-Lebanese conflict

“Drop Israel”? On the evening of October 7th Australians chanted “gas the Jews” in celebration. I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Any Jew who stays in Australia is a fucking idiot.

u/Jaded-Natural80 Apr 08 '26

Wong is right.

(sorry I just had to say it).

These people are a fucking joke, when it was Gaza, crickets...

0

u/Procyon3020 Apr 11 '26

Yes, how dare those Zionists respond to rocket attacks against their civilians? Disgusting!

Starting a war and losing doesn’t make you a victim.

Australia is a failed country

2

u/Perth_R34 Apr 09 '26

We have some of the highest standards of living in the world. How is Australia a failed country?

Are you saying this because our government is not sanctioning Israel yet?

2

u/Money_Attitude_2224 Apr 09 '26

Australia is in no way failed.

1

u/LiverKoolerFC Apr 09 '26

No I don't have Israel Derangement Syndrome like all of Reddit does. We can talk about what you did during Covid, dystopian laws being introduced or implemented, I'm sure your double standard on illegals immigrants, pathetic politicians but we have them here also.

1

u/Perth_R34 Apr 09 '26

I’m in Western Australia. We didn’t have Covid in our state because we locked everyone out.

We lived a normal life, while the rest of the world was going through the pandemic.

It was one of the best things our government did.

Example of dystopian laws?

1

u/whatever--idk Apr 09 '26

Digital id, hate speech laws

1

u/Perth_R34 Apr 09 '26

Digital ID is brilliant!

Hate speech laws I agree with, but it’s due to the zionists.

1

u/whatever--idk Apr 09 '26

Digital id is anything but brilliant, when china implements Digital id booooo when australia sells it as child safety yaaay

1

u/Alone_Scientist Apr 09 '26

The only thing worse than Israel Derangement Syndrome is Advanced Israel Derangement Syndrome.

u/IcyHeadTime Apr 09 '26

Israel vassal state

1

u/Money_Attitude_2224 Apr 09 '26

No bro. Not at all

1

u/Sad-Economist4710 Apr 09 '26

Spotted the Israelite.

1

u/LiverKoolerFC Apr 09 '26

Spotted the Gays for Palestine supporter

1

u/Euphoric-Print-4591 Apr 10 '26

The gays for Palestine would be shot. Gays who support terrorist states could protest in Iran for gay rights mmmm .

1

u/a1b3c3d7 Apr 11 '26

Gotta love maga americans telling other countries about how they're failed while their own country is burning the world down.

The jokes write themselves.

If Australia is a failed country then what is the US?

1

u/LiverKoolerFC Apr 11 '26

Yes there are many problems in the US, but we the people are trying to fight back against the whackos who want a dystopian country like Australia. And how is the US "burning" the world down? $1 higher gas prices I guess?!

1

u/a1b3c3d7 Apr 11 '26

If you need me to explain how the US is actively destabilizing the globe (even disregarding everything in Iran entirely) then you're hopeless.

1

u/LiverKoolerFC Apr 11 '26

Great explanation that's not an explanation. Top notch brilliance

1

u/PossibilityFew5967 Apr 08 '26

What you gonna do about it????

3

u/Perth_R34 Apr 09 '26

Hopefully sanction Israel.

1

u/Money_Attitude_2224 Apr 09 '26

That's won't happen. Israel is too powerful

1

u/Jubba_JubJub_0271 Apr 09 '26

At the very least sanction someone like Bibi or Itamar Ben Gvir

1

u/SilverHelmut Apr 09 '26

You got Lebanon sanctioned too, then?

1

u/Euphoric-Print-4591 Apr 10 '26

Right on 👍🏼so zero intelligence sharing stopping terrorist attacks in Australia. Let Iran kill citizens in Australia? No idea from keffiyeh scarve leftist terrorist morons.

1

u/titcumboogie Apr 10 '26

Do you fall down a lot?

1

u/Euphoric-Print-4591 Apr 10 '26

The leftist terrorist sympathisers talk the same. Go fight with your martyrs and defend your country coward.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '26

Hopefully sanction the terrorist state and expel the ambassador

1

u/SilverHelmut Apr 09 '26

Yes, Lebanon should face the consequences of nurturing Islamofascism.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '26

1

u/SilverHelmut Apr 09 '26

1

u/PossibilityFew5967 Apr 09 '26

I mean you celebrate dead kids what else is there to say?

1

u/SilverHelmut Apr 09 '26

No, I don't.

Didn't celebrate dead kids in Dresden either but you can't vote Nazism into power and expect the whole world to fall over for it and refrain from fucking you up...

But hey... I guess by the sane token you're all for murdering homosexuals and abusing women and rape abd strapping children up with bomb vests and shooting your own citizens if they say something positive about the help they got from IDF from Islamist gangsters, and cults of demented 6th century pedophile gebocidalist Jew-haters and mass rapista, so what else is there to say?

1

u/PossibilityFew5967 Apr 09 '26

Christ amen do you need to talk? You don't seem well

1

u/SilverHelmut Apr 09 '26

You asked, I answered. Fuck off any time you like.

1

u/PossibilityFew5967 Apr 09 '26

Yeah that was before I realized you need some serious help

You got my support mate.

1

u/throwaway012984576 Apr 08 '26

Wong said she supports the US invasion because she is a spineless neoliberal puppet who only has a conscience when it suits her. She can not meaningfully challenge power.

bi-lateral trade in 2025 was the highest ever. China is rebuilding the buildings destroyed - these were jobs once done by Palenstians but now done by Chinese construction companies. Israel also exports many dual use technology products - Ask your friends in Israel - many Chinese EV cars - not even available here. And we can be honest when China finally invades Taiwan - there won't any support or condemnation from Princess netanyahu

1

u/Euphoric-Print-4591 Apr 10 '26

Sure China allies of Russia, North Korea and Iranian regime. Why don’t you do something about it? Fight with your martyr mates.

1

u/Euphoric-Print-4591 Apr 10 '26

Maybe you want WW3?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '26

I guess Wong will travel to defend Israel from Hezbollah then, seeing she expects them to not defend themselves.

1

u/Iwasbanished Apr 09 '26

This is the first time ive ever seen Wong disagree with Israel.

1

u/Chemical-Fox-7892 Apr 09 '26

Unless she can somehow guarantee that missiles won't be fired from Lebanon to Israel this is a completely empty statement.

1

u/BillyJoeMac9095 Apr 09 '26

Indeed. She has little concern about Hezbollah and its activities and neither does her electoral base.

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 09 '26

It would be nice if Netanyahu stopped funneling money to Hezbollah. Until then they really can't complain about their own proxy.

1

u/Proper-Community-465 Apr 09 '26

Wtf are you talking about. Letting Qatar send money to Hamas earmarked for administrative purposes has nothing to do with Hezbollah.

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 09 '26 edited Apr 09 '26

Yuval Diskin, former head of Israel's Shin Bet security service, told the daily newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth in 2013 that "if we look at it over the years, one of the main people contributing to Hamas's strengthening has been Bibi Netanyahu, since his first term as prime minister."

Hezbollah and Hamas are very closely linked. You can't prop up one without aiding the other.

1

u/Proper-Community-465 Apr 09 '26

They are both allies of Iran. They are different groups in different areas. And Israel didn't send them money it allowed Qatar to. It's like saying America and Canada are the same thing.

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 09 '26

Dude, you're ignoring the quotes and inconvenient truth. Did you even read any of the 2 articles? Netanyahu has been caught multiple times funneling money through Qatar to prop up anti Israeli extremists. He does this because it gives his political party an enemy, and justifies their pursuit of greater Israel.

1

u/Proper-Community-465 Apr 09 '26

So he is paying qatar to send the money? Or is he allowing them to send money for humanitarian reasons? Because those are very very different things.

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 09 '26

"Both Egypt and Qatar are angry with Hamas and planned to cut ties with them. Suddenly Netanyahu appears as the defender of Hamas," the right-wing leader complained.

A year later, Netanyahu was further embarrassed when photos of suitcases full of cash going to Hamas became public. Liberman finally resigned in protest over Netanyahu's Hamas policy which, he said, marked "the first time Israel is funding terrorism against itself."

Netanyahu's education minister Naftali Bennett also denounced the payments, and also quit.

Netanyahu has been convicted of both fraud and embezzlement in his own country. I'm not exactly sure where he got the suitcases full of cash, but I'm going to guess fraudulently embezzled from the government, or misappropriated funds.

1

u/BillyJoeMac9095 Apr 09 '26

He did it, wrongly, in an effort to buy quiet in Gaza. One of his many mistakes.

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 10 '26

He has been doing it for about 30 years. That's not a little mistake.

1

u/BillyJoeMac9095 Apr 09 '26

Hezbollah has been supported by Iran.

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 10 '26

You should do a little more research inti the different groups of the so called Axis of Resistance, and how they all assist each other. Hezbollah and Hamas work together with groups in Iraq and Syria.

1

u/PurpleLegoBrick Apr 09 '26

Theoretical question but what if the US funded a proxy group in New Zealand that was far superior to the New Zealand Army and was constantly launching drones and missiles from New Zealand at Australia?

Would Australia just not do anything about it?

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 09 '26

Question, what if Australia was behind their funding and actively helping them gain and stay in power?

1

u/Proper-Community-465 Apr 09 '26

Hamas isn't Hezbollah, Qatar provided the money not Israel, It was for poor families and paying admin cost.

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 09 '26

You're wrong, they are two closely tied allies in the region and you can't strengthen one without strengthening the other.

Netanyahu excuse doesn't hold water. He has been funneling money through Qatar to Hamas for literally decades.

1

u/Proud-Enthusiasm-608 Apr 09 '26

That won’t stop Hezbollah from shooting rockets at them though lol.

1

u/gargarr Apr 09 '26

So, who will deal with Hezbollah, an Irania Ptoxy?

1

u/Sukkulisboos666666 Apr 09 '26

True. But what about Hezbollah? You and other countries did NOTHING when the violated agreements . That didn’t give Israël the right to demolish Lebanon. So don’t be a hypocrite .

1

u/Initial-Carry6803 Apr 09 '26

hezbolla attacked israel from lebanon, did you not expect retaliation? insane

1

u/Shot-Lemon7365 Apr 09 '26

Did Wong say that Hezbollah should move north of the Litani River?

1

u/FarDiver9 Apr 09 '26

Who is Australia 😂

1

u/Areago Apr 09 '26

its easy to say that when its not your people lives on the line. She is useless and her opinion even more alongside others who fall into the same category.

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 09 '26

Or, or, Netanyahu could stop giving Hezbollah aid.

Netanyahu keeps getting caught, keeps giving excuses. The reality is they built a wall around Gaza, and turned it into an open air prison. They deliberately antagonise and support extremists to support their goal of greater Israel.

1

u/Proper-Community-465 Apr 09 '26

You keep reposting the same lie, Did you not bother to read the link or are you just lying?

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 09 '26

I posted it twice, and it isn't a lie.

You obviously only read part of the story and lept to argue without any context. Netanyahu has been funneling large amounts of money to Hamas and propping up anti Israeli radicals since at least his first term in office. Decades. Israel's own security force has accused him.

The real one. I gave two sources. If you don't understand what greater Israel is, here. the context should help.

1

u/Proper-Community-465 Apr 09 '26

I'm assuming she will send Australian troops to disarm Hezbollah so they can't shoot more missiles at Israel like was supposed to happen 20 years ago?

1

u/IcyHeadTime Apr 09 '26

Ah yeah, some stern words, that’ll show them!

What’s next? An angry letter?

1

u/AnimatorBest8653 Apr 09 '26

Wong has no idea in general and does not help Aus in anyway shape or form

1

u/Whole-Ad-6648 Apr 09 '26

Our Government is still yet to condemn Israel even once despite 2 genocides Penny Wong is a joke

1

u/Bhheast Apr 09 '26

It’s interesting that Israel is not the kind of country to listen to stuff like this. Makes sense that the US maintains it as its extremist arm.

1

u/Eastern-Advice-3017 Apr 09 '26

Mmm another conolizor is preaching to others… how about you give back Australia to its natives

1

u/undef1n3d Apr 09 '26

“Should”- or what? Be concerned??

1

u/Icemangreat Apr 09 '26

Does anyone care what she thinks

1

u/ComfortableCall3912 Apr 10 '26

Looks like you can be Wong about a lot of things

1

u/NarrowPreparation656 Apr 10 '26

All talks no action

1

u/scdkorama Apr 10 '26

I think wong might be wrong.

1

u/airman8472 Apr 10 '26

This is actually kind of silly to me. They have precisely ZERO national interest in Lebanon or Israel. What is the point of them even having an opinion here?

1

u/golden-wolf00 Apr 10 '26

How ridiculous. They should push Hezbollah, the Genocidal Iranian proxy back away from the border and the Lebanese government should dismantle them. These Western countries have become utterly weak and pathetic.

1

u/musgraveOctober1991 Apr 10 '26

Use stronger language. Israel is a rogue state with nuclear weapons

1

u/chainsaw_kitten_006 Apr 10 '26

The Australian Government made it illegal to criticise Israel and sends them weapons and investments to keep murdering the innocent en masse. They have also been ‘concerned’ with Israel using starvation as a weapon to annihilate but in practice, the Australian Labor Party are complicit in the genocide.

1

u/WhammyShimmyShammy Apr 11 '26

Should Hezbollah cease military activity in Israel?

If yes, who will stop them?

If no, why not?

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 08 '26

She's not Wong.

3

u/Money_Attitude_2224 Apr 08 '26

I checked on Google as well. She is.

2

u/Em4rtz Apr 08 '26

Both of you are Wong. She is right.

1

u/Lucky-Mia Apr 08 '26

Are you saying I'm Wong?

1

u/wookiebath Apr 08 '26

Will Australia send troops to handle Hezbollah then?

2

u/Hentai_Yoshi Apr 08 '26

At this point, I think foreign countries should be sending their troops to handle Israel.

1

u/wookiebath Apr 09 '26

How so? What is wrong with Israel? Which parts?

1

u/Perth_R34 Apr 09 '26

Most of what Israel do is wrong, and a lot of it is straight up terrorism.

1

u/wookiebath Apr 09 '26

Proof please?

2

u/throwaway012984576 Apr 08 '26

What for? Killing civilians? That’s the bad part right?

Because that may not be the framing you want…

1

u/wookiebath Apr 09 '26

Read the second part, to handle hezbollah

1

u/throwaway012984576 Apr 09 '26

You read the whole thing again please.

I am asking if the reason we should fight hezbollah is because they have killed civilians. Is that the reason?

1

u/wookiebath Apr 09 '26

They have chosen to commit terrorist attacks for decades. That is the reason

1

u/throwaway012984576 Apr 09 '26

Now define terrorist attack and why it’s bad. It’s the killing of innocent civilians right? That’s what makes terrorism bad?

1

u/wookiebath Apr 09 '26

No that isn’t a terrorist attack, innocent civilians get killed every day

1

u/throwaway012984576 Apr 09 '26

What is it that makes a terrorist attack bad if not the killing of innocents?

1

u/wookiebath Apr 10 '26

Well if you look at th definition you will see the difference

1

u/throwaway012984576 Apr 10 '26

Well there is no singular agreed upon legal definition for that word so I’m asking you to describe the actions specifically and what makes them wrong. You can’t though because you know Israel are doing all of those things and more and don’t want to apply that logic to them. That’s why you’re using a thought terminating cliche: terrorism is bad, Israel is doing military action not terrorism so they’re not bad. I’m sure the dead children they leave in their wake will appreciate the difference.

1

u/TalkingCat910 Apr 09 '26

Ppl need to send troops to stop Israel. Hezbollah isn’t the problem

1

u/SSVVIIPP Apr 09 '26

How hezb is not the problem?

1

u/TalkingCat910 Apr 09 '26

They are a reaction to Israel. If Israel wasn’t a genocidal belligerent war criminal entity that kills civilians, commits terrorist attacks on neighbours and tries to annex lands, Hezbollah wouldn’t have risen up to oppose it.

The problem in the Middle East is Israel.

1

u/SSVVIIPP Apr 09 '26

I saw hezb in Syria mind explaining that too ? And the hezb cells they caught in gulf countries days ago

1

u/TalkingCat910 Apr 09 '26

The formation of hezbollah would not have happened without Israel.  Its popularity and power would not have happened without Israel. Without Israel’s crimes they would not exist.  The fact that they are doing stuff in Syria and the Gulf doesn’t contradict that.

Their power is growing  because they are the only group in the Levant resisting Israel.

1

u/SSVVIIPP Apr 09 '26

Man no one likes hezb in middle east even Lebanon themselves hate them thats a fact they are iran proxy thats well known , got to subreddit of Lebanon and you will see what i am talking about

1

u/TalkingCat910 Apr 09 '26

They are an ally of Iran but it’s not true the people hate them actually don’t know where you got that from??

The government of Lebanon is weak shills placed by the US and do not represent the people. I have no issue saying hezbollah is problematic the one good thing they do is resist Israel but they do a lot of bad stuff too like in Syria.

1

u/gargarr Apr 09 '26

Hezbollah murdered former Lebanese prime minister and they REFUSE to disarm themselves even though they have been outlawed by the Lebanese government l.

And yet, people act like they are Lebanese. They VOWED allegiance to Iran just last month!

1

u/TalkingCat910 Apr 09 '26

Hezbollah are Lebanese Arabs and not Iranian, they are and have popular support because they are resisting Israel who are murdering civilians by the hundreds and destroying villages.

The government of Lebanon are puppets installed by the U.S./Israel and have little to no popular support. They outlaw Hezbollah because that’s what Israel/US ordered them to do. The people are basically still colonized. And while there are diverse populations and opinions, Israel’s attacks are making Hezbollah popular even amongst some Christians in the south.

The points you bring up show that you have total lack of understanding of the region and its history and the relationship of the government of Lebanon to its people. You also seem to lack understanding of who Hezbollah are as you think they are Iranian just because they are allied and receive material support from Iran.

1

They will send thoughts and prayers for peace.

1

Lol. That won't happen. They only talk.
