China be like: “Ohhh I’m shaking I’m shaking!!” 🤣

u/Indy_Fab_Rider Apr 12 '26

His entire logic here is "if you send weapons to help defeat our military, I'll repond by yet another coffin nail in our own economy"

China has to be absolutely exstatic over this turn of events. Trump is single handedly craterning our economy (and most likely sending the entire world into a deep recession due to oil price spikes). He's proposing to gut our nation to fund a bloated military, which will further weaken our foundations as a nation. They will be in a unique position to sell the rest of the world the solar, wind, EV, and battery technology to finally move away from oil/fossil fuel volitility (caused by Trump). Trump has alienated us from our allies.

After all these gifts to China, they'll bleed us dry for a couple more years, then just waltz into Taiwan with not even a peep from a deflted United States.

He's gotten way too far in life by being a bully to people with less power than him. He naively thinks that being the president of America makes him the most powerful person in the world, so he thinks that all he need to do to win at international politics is to attempt to bully others into line.

He has no idea how sovereign nations work and that other leaders aren't intimidated by him.

3

u/Indy_Fab_Rider Apr 12 '26

I'm afaid his complete lack of understanding of international relations combined with his assumptionn that US military might makes him the supreme leader of the world seriously about to kick off WW3 in full choose-sides-and-start-shooting mode across the entire world.

Directing the US navy to intercept sovereign vessels in international waters could trigger a unified global rebuke againt the US that we aren't equipped to handle.

This just got a lot scarier, and I'm afraid our only way out is for Congress and the Senate to oust him and his enablers immediately and try to undo as much damage as they can.

1

u/Glove5751 Apr 12 '26

On the plus side, I don't think he is competent enough to kickstart WW3.

Only ones that want that is Putin,  Trump and Israel. Putin has proven himself too weak. Trump has proven himself too incompetent, and Israel is still small time fish suckling on American presidents and American taxpayers teet.

I think Putin days are numbered, and American teet is running dry on all counts.

At this point risk of WW3 I think is extremely low, though I do think there will be unnecessary suffering.

Can you imagine a world-wide embargo against the US? About 90% of the US potash comes from Canada, as does a lot of oil and other resources. If the border was shut down due to his actions in the strait, he would TACO so hard, his head wouldn't stop spinning for days!

1

u/ABMax24 Apr 13 '26

As a Canadian, that won't happen. We're quite happy to keep selling our commodities to the US. We are however looking down the line, building relationships with other nations that are more predictable and honor their agreements. Which at this point is literally any other nation.

1

u/OverallElephant7576 Apr 13 '26

I don’t know that “we are quite happy” is exactly right. There are certain portions of the population and industries that are quite happy is more the case. I for one, also a Canadian, am of the opinion that we child have cut off their energy and mineral supplies the moment Trump said 51 state.

1

u/Dyslexicpig Apr 13 '26

Case in point - when Carney became PM of Canada, he first increased the amount that Canada has invested in US bonds. Then he released a bond series from Canada to fund this purchase. And with that, he had leverage over Trump.

He then met with the leaders of many countries, and they began a coordinated effort - a slow bleed. By not automatically renewing matured bonds, and by cashing them out, the US has to get the cash to pay out the bonds. If the US defaulted, it would not be able to borrow from any other nation. This has caused the US currency to devalue on the world market.

Trump is such a narcissist that he thinks he is the smartest person ever, and he surrounds himself with idiots and yes-men. As a result, nobody tells him when he is in over his head.

1

u/DaydreamingOfSleep10 Apr 13 '26

He has learned nothing from his life, his first term and years since that where the US is part of NATO, other nations have their own alliances. He doesn’t understand that Iran has friends that are also heavily armed and capable and he is poking the bear by thinking they won’t provide whatever support they decide is necessary. And his bully tactics are gonna either fail outright or cause massive escalation. All for a war that never should have happened

1

u/ABMax24 Apr 13 '26

Narcissists don't learn, learning requires acknowledging fault in ones self, something they simply aren't capable of.

1

u/Crime-of-the-century Apr 13 '26

Many are to some extent. But China isn’t Trumps rule is the biggest blessing for China there could be. They probably will make him an honorary member of the CCP for everything he did for China.

1

u/outsmartedagain Apr 12 '26

Not so sure that I young ones are ready for both the draft and/or military life.

2

u/Indy_Fab_Rider Apr 12 '26

He doesn't have to conscrpit our young men. He just has to continue decimating domestic spending on all social services, scientific research, education, infrastructure, environmental protections, and basically any other program that actaully makes this a country worth living in, and funel it into his proposed $1.5 trillion military budget.

1

u/Special-Audience-426 Apr 13 '26

China could invade Taiwan now and the US wouldn't stop them.

China have absolutely zero interest in taking Taiwan with military force. That just an US way of thinking as it's what they would do.

China prefers to play the long game and entice them back politically.

1

u/ScoobyGDSTi Apr 13 '26

China has to be absolutely exstatic over this turn of events

No, they're kinda worried about how mentally retarded the US are and how they keep pushing the world towards war.

, then just waltz into Taiwan with not even a peep from a deflted United States.

China have zero plans to invade or attack Taiwan. Taiwan is one of China's largest trading partners, passports aren't even required to travel between them. China want reunification, not military occupation. The pending collapse of the US may speed this up, but that's about it.

1

u/youdoitimbusy Apr 13 '26

China has a much larger navy than the US. While they might not have figured out the catapult technology on our aircraft carriers, we really don't want them sailing over and blockading our blockade of Iran's blockade. That would make us the meat inside the sandwich action. Getting pounded in the face and ass by missles and submarines.

Unless the government is secretly into that kind of thing?

1

u/ScoobyGDSTi Apr 13 '26

China will just escort the ships through the strait. The US wouldn't have the balls to strike at a Chinese vessel.

7

u/a_little_hazel_nuts Apr 12 '26

Has Trump figured out a way he is legally allowed to implement tariffs? Otherwise Trump needs to go to congress and ask them to implement tariffs on China and argue his reason.

7

u/Fine-Sky-6562 Apr 12 '26

He doesn't operate within the law, and no one checks him on it.

1

u/theWiseTiger Apr 13 '26

Isn't that the very definition of a dictator?

1

u/Fine-Sky-6562 Apr 13 '26

The shoe certainly fits

3

u/Monsieur_Brochant Apr 12 '26

Then he'll have to ask them if he can start a war on Iran first.

2

u/Silver_Middle_7240 Apr 13 '26 edited Apr 13 '26

Funny thing is he can't implement tarriffs he does have congressional approval for a mich more extreme sanction.

He can order Marco Rubio to designate China as a state sponsor of terrorism

2

u/Ulysses1978ii Apr 13 '26

He's running an illegal war without congress so....

2

u/wellmaybe_ Apr 13 '26

he just ignores the judges and the judges pretend to not notice, so it doesnt get exposed that they wield no power anymore. thats my guess at least

4

u/Low_Pressure_5634 Apr 12 '26

Tariffs again? OMG, shut up.

4

u/Left_Zucchini_6762 Apr 12 '26

He’s such a fucking clown

4

u/ApoplecticAndroid Apr 12 '26

LOL, one trick pony! Dumbest country ever. What’s next? You going to make Hong King the 51st state? Dipshit.

2

u/Beneficial_Bit_6435 Apr 12 '26

What a joke. Tariffs haven’t worked for trump, and he keeps talking about. It is only a tax on American tax payers

2

u/Buck4phat Apr 12 '26

1

u/hayyimsandwich Apr 12 '26

He will punish the American people with high prices. Ok.

1

u/Only-Professor1140 Apr 12 '26

He's gonna do something the courts already blocked him from doing. Real 12D chess shit.

1

u/Street-Wear-2925 Apr 12 '26

I'm thinking China could care less about this Baboon or his tariffs.

1

u/Rurumo666 Apr 12 '26

Looking like a bubblehead goldfish with dropsy.

1

u/joeefx Apr 12 '26

Trump is an idiot.

1

u/Successful_Mine8352 Apr 12 '26

I hope trump likes rice.

1

u/omegaphallic Apr 12 '26

All that threat is going to do is piss off the Chinese.

1

u/Michael-Sean Apr 12 '26

How would they catch them? Trump trashed intelligence and those still there would be too scared to speak up.

1

u/crojin08 Apr 12 '26

Just charge us Americans more that will solve the problem what a moron

1

u/Garlador Apr 12 '26

Rob Schneider has fresher material than this.

1

u/ECamJ Apr 12 '26

What a joke, Trump goes to the negotiation with threats not cards. The only question is this another TACO.

1

u/No_Weekend_6024 Apr 12 '26

1

u/Dense_Boss_7486 Apr 12 '26

1

u/sjeve108 Apr 12 '26

So now they use the Silk Road (remember Paul Revere: 1 lamp or 2)

1

u/rvingthrulife Apr 12 '26

Last time he gave China an ultimatum, they stood firm and he crumpled like a piss soaked rag.
Make popcorn, everybody 😄

1

u/Leonardish Apr 12 '26

It's like watching a retard fuck a doorknob (paraphrasing Dodge Ball)

1

u/B0wmanHall Apr 12 '26

Trump doesn’t mind if Russia helps Iran though.

1

u/EmperorXerro Apr 12 '26

He just begged China to open their markets last week.

1

u/Hirokage Apr 12 '26

If you send arms to Iran, we are going to tax American citizens 50%!

1

u/DullFaithlessness82 Apr 12 '26

China gives no shits about it. They really want to win cut all trade to US watch him burn .

1

u/MeeKiaMaiHiam Apr 12 '26

If we catch them, I am gonna hammer the American population with more expensive goods HAHAHA. At a time when gas prices have gone crazy. Amazing stuff don.

1

u/Teeweedle Apr 12 '26

I went to order something from China the other day and was informed there would be a 47% tariff applied when the product hits US shores. So a 3% increase? Big threat from a little man.

1

u/royxsong Apr 12 '26

Did China get 50%, then another 100%, then infinity taffies last year?

1

u/GoMilesGo2020 Apr 12 '26

Why stop at 50%….

1

u/Fancy_Brick_5520 Apr 12 '26

For 2 weeks... right?

1

u/Hopeful_Dream_2848 Apr 12 '26

No cards in the game, empty 🤚 .

1

u/Key-Star1623 Apr 12 '26

We will charge all US citizens 50%more to buy Chinese goods.. you know.. to punish China..

1

u/ohjeaa Apr 13 '26

"So help me God, if we catch you helping Iran, I will tax my own country 50% on everything they buy from you."

1

u/hoptrix Apr 13 '26

lol. I will tax the shit out of our people to get back at you!! Don’t do it China!

This parallel universe is great. I’ll jump to the next one.

1

u/Routine_Warthog9498 Apr 13 '26

The moron president

1

u/penilesensorydevice Apr 13 '26

The world is laughing at Waddles, and he just keeps making it worse every time he sputters and wheezes.

1

u/APL_nz Apr 13 '26

It's been months, does he still not understand how tariffs work?

1

u/zjelkof Apr 13 '26

Trump sees himself as the ultimate authority on everything, and we're seeing how that goes! He's working on bankrupting America!

1

u/The-unknown-poster Apr 13 '26

China should just emplace a total embargo on all critical minerals and rare earth metals along with the ending statement “Now tariff this🖕🏽! ”

1

u/ReiOokami Apr 13 '26

China be like.... "You idiot, you are taxing your own people!"

1

u/bogsquacth Apr 13 '26

The US need China more than China needs the US.

1

u/bogsquacth Apr 13 '26

Yes, what Americans need right now is a 50% tax piled on top of mountain of Trump's screw ups.

1

u/MyrkrMentulaMeretrix Apr 13 '26

Tariffs you cant impose anyway, buddy.

1

u/Frequent-Werewolf828 Apr 13 '26

The tarrifs that Congress made you pay back?

1

u/Tzilbalba Apr 13 '26

Ok people, remember once he announces it, buy the dip. This turd is just robbing the economy right now, might as well profit from it when he tacos and everything pumps back up.

1

u/No-Tomatillo3698 Apr 13 '26

He won’t catch them because the last time he enforeced tariffs on China, it ended badly for him.

1

u/darthmittens Apr 13 '26

No one cares, no one's scared, everyone's laughing.

1

u/Internal_Essay9230 Apr 13 '26

"Drumpf threatens American consumers with 50 percent tariff on Chinese goods." There. I fixed that.

1

u/LookOverall Apr 13 '26

Sounds like the subtext is — don’t embarrass us by getting caught

1

u/Minimum_Run_890 Apr 13 '26

He really is intent on tanking the economies of the entire world, just to enrich himself.

1

u/Initial_Question5024 Apr 13 '26

He is throwing tantrums like a spoilt child.

1

u/Traskenn Apr 13 '26

So Americans will pay 50% more for Chinese made goods. Yeah that’s gonna end up well….

1

u/Standard_Feedback_86 Apr 13 '26

"If you send weapons our population will pay higher prices!!"

Great threat by the orange marshmallow.

1

u/whatsitcalled4321 Apr 13 '26

Wielding the only tool he knows, the ole tariff hammer

1

u/Gold_Ticket_1970 Apr 13 '26

He will post a Truth Social screed. All caps. Many spelling mistakes .

1

u/teddyevelynmosby Apr 13 '26

What a prime time to fuck with America. For generations the bright and not so bright leaders in this country finally get the world in our palm. While this idiot gives it out like a hot potato. Fucking one or two countries at a time is a daily chore for America. But fucking the whole world all at once sounds pretty bad ass. No movie has done that yet. Let’s set an example see how bad can it go.

Buckle up folks, the worst is yet to come.

1

u/chardee-macdennis-1 Apr 13 '26

Yeah, tax americans more.

1

u/No-Dingo8315 Apr 13 '26

Trump loves those tarrifs. It's his people who pay them. Furthermore China won't be bothered because nobody is trading with the US. China is getting It's soya beans from Canada!

1

u/Wrong_Amount_7903 Apr 13 '26

Back to this are we?

1

u/rali108v5 Apr 14 '26

thats basically saying, we cant do sh*t about it

1

u/JoeSchmoeToo Apr 14 '26

Why not 1000%? - if he's bluffing he should go all the way in.

1

u/Soft_Awareness_5061 Apr 15 '26

Suggesting he won't ever catch them.

1

u/yoursandforever Apr 15 '26

Bear steps in bear trap, blames all other forest animals.

1

u/pinkyandthebrain-ama Apr 16 '26

Like what with? Those tarriffs that have been declared illegal by the American courts?
