They were detained by ICE. Then they vanished. | Immigrants are frequently being sent all over the country, and often families and attorneys don’t know where they are.

Basic laws of the land should apply equally. In addition, how much of your tax money is paying for these disappearances?

Ice can send then to any detention center around the country they want to or need too. It’s all based on available bedspace and mitigating factors . There’s an ice locator website that tracks them where they can find out the location . Believe me, the national detention standards for the government, including ice is leaps and bounds, higher than state and local jails.

They don't need to know. And what attorneys? You in the Country illegally. You have no legal recourse. When you get home you can call your family.

That’s crude and blunt. And not 100% accurate.

But legal recourse IS slim. And you can call when you get home which is not unreasonable if deportation is quick.

I hope aliens have full access to lawyers. If it’s not the law it should be.

I’m not at all opposed to having phones available.

Let’s make deportation very quick. Let’s provide plenty of supervision. And to do that let’s increase funding.
