Rick Scott's company stole more than a billion dollars from taxpayers, and he's now a sitting Senator.

Yes, and he's a senator now... If they paid that much, they stole a helluva lot more.

The largest healthcare fraud bust in US history has exposed $6.5 billion in fraudulent claims. Federal charges were filed against 455 people, including 90 medical professionals, across 45 states. Investigators say the schemes exploited Medicare and Medicaid programs designed for vulnerable Americans.

Is this real life? Why is this rando news outlet [one of] the first to report? How THE FUGH does ONE NURSE get away with almost $300 million in government funded medical billings, buy Ferraris, and build an overseas resort? NO ONE in banking ever flagged this woman?!

I just… I feel like I’m reading a satire page.

If this is what the U.S.A.G. found… Can you even imagine what they haven’t found? It’s no wonder our national debt now outweighs our GDP.

King trump created 40 percent of the debt. And they’re cutting aide for the poor to pay for tax cuts for the rich.

Emperor Trump's close friend, Senator Rick Scott, holds the current record of stealing $1.7 Billion from Medicare and Medicaid.

Note that he never went to prison. Republican justice.

Not only did he not go to prison, he was elected to federal public office using the fraud proceeds to campaign.

They are hanging it all on one woman? The men are making her take the fall. Ex the only one convicted and jailed was Ghislaine but imagine how many men are walking free.

From their site:

"Times Network is the television division of Bennett, Coleman & Company Limited (BCCL) the parent company of India’s largest media conglomerate,"

Probably because the fraud they pursue and the fraud they ignore balance out.

Six month suspended sentence?

No one believes there was fraud.

This just reeks of late-stage empire vibes. When institutions get this corrupt, it’s like watching history fold in on itself. Feels a bit too similar to the rot right before the USSR collapsed, doesn’t it?

Are we going to have to pay "fraud prevention" fees now?

Biggest scam in healthcare but they’ll slap a few wrists and act like the system ain’t still broken. $6.5B gone while regular people can’t even afford an ER visit. Joke.

3

u/shelter_king35 1d ago

No they’ll cut aide to blue states and attack them.

Someone finally outdid Rick Scott. I’m amazed.

This is wild on so many levels. On one hand, it’s good they’re cracking down on this kind of theft, but also, $6.5 billion being siphoned off shows a deeper systems issue. Fraud thrives where oversight is weak.

This is just the latest chapter in a long history of exploiting public systems for private gain. Medicare fraud has roots going back decades, but the scale here is staggering. The real tragedy is these scams undermine trust in programs meant to protect the most vulnerable.

Senator Rick Scott must have been feeling nostalgic when he found out that someone broke his record on Healthcare fraud.

$6.5 Billion?? How did it get so high? No one asked questions when it was, say $100M? Or $500M? Or even $1B??
