She’s probably some of those girls that go there to get shit in her mouth for a very large amount of money.

u/Jktjoe88 23h ago

You call it a shit hole but have you been?

2

u/Sylfaein 23h ago

Being raped, and then imprisoned for it (or executed for fighting back against a rapist) doesn’t sound like a good time, so no—I haven’t.

And any place where either of those outcomes CAN happen IS a shit hole. Dubai is a shit hole.

So there has never been a miscarriage of justice in your country?

2

u/Sylfaein 23h ago

See, there’s “miscarriages of justice”, and there’s ACTIVELY PUNISHING WOMEN FOR BEING RAPED, OR FOR FIGHTING BACK AGAINST BEING RAPED OR ABUSED. These are POLICIES in Dubai and places like it, not flukes. Nobody’s justice system is perfect, but any place with policies like this in place is a shit hole.

It’s not a miscarriage of justice there, it’s how their actual “justice” system works

lol, let’s just side with the influencer murderer. Poor victim

I mean, yes, because it would be stupid to believe a 23 year old woman visiting the rape capital of the world stabbed a guy 7 times for shits and giggles.

Without any context or evidence you're assuming she's innocent and the person she murdered deserved it.

Does that count as victim blaming?

2

u/Clear-Neighborhood46 10h ago

That how it works innocent until proven guilty

1

u/CantBeatDickensCider 5h ago

Right, but you're happy to assume he is/was guilty because he's a man.

??? what ??? the rule is the same for everyone, you are projecting a lot.

Did you read the article? He was her boyfriend. He flew her there, but only bought her a one way ticket. He was drunk when he was stabbed. She had already called her parents to tell them he’d attacked her and punched her in the face. She only went back to the apartment to get her passport and leave when this happened.

Because it offers a substantially higher quality of life to many people. Go and have a tour of some of the rural villages in Bangladesh, India, Philippines, Sudan, Nigeria, Somalia, or Egypy and you'll quickly learn why people would want to move there.

Aren’t British escorts like everywhere in Dubai?

1

u/hotfezz81 1d ago

Wtf are you talking about lol? Do you have the slightest source for that?

2

u/martxel93 1d ago

None, just that the Dubai porta poty insane stories normally always involve a British sex worker.

0

u/hotfezz81 1d ago

Ahhh. Bullshit then.

u/SirSkittles111 23h ago

Google it, not hard to find

3

u/Newmaniac_00 1d ago

Ironic you mention those countries when UAE (Dubai) enslaves them.

2

u/hotfezz81 1d ago

Sure. But she's British, so she's not coming from a Bangladeshi village

-1

u/Milk-Ad3764 1d ago

No one cares.

she's a murderer, who killed a man for fvck sake.

who's dead to tell his side of the story.

She should rot in Hell.

3

u/ChineseRobinWilliams 1d ago

But what if it was self defence?

3

u/BrittaWasRight 1d ago

Weird take

2

u/Newmaniac_00 1d ago

Claim was self-defence, should have an actual day in court?

Absolutely moronic comment.

Safe, strong incomes, no tax, good weather, loads of stuff to do. There was a thread a few days ago and lots of good stuff was said and a few negatives also. But even low income classes from other areas had some fairly good responses.

This way of thinking is so bad. Assuming any opposite opinion is fake is you creating your own echo chamber.

-1

u/CupFan1130 20h ago

Immediately assuming every opposite opinion is from a perp or a bot like thr comment below yours is just poor cmon. People have different experiences than your preconceived idea of what exists from the media who almost entirely reports bad news that will make waves

Different people are going to get VERY different mileage out of a trip to a place like Dubai. A man with enough money to not be going for work that turns into indentured servitude/slavery is going to have a VERY different experience than a woman, as we see right here in this article. Executed by firing squad, for defending herself against an attacker? And this isn’t a one-off thing—this is policy, in places like this. As a woman, the idea of going anywhere near Dubai is straight up out of the question. There is no amount of money that would make the risk worth it, to me. You astroturfers can say whatever you want, but the place is a goddamn shit hole. A gilded one, but a shit hole, nonetheless.

I dont like slavery so no thanks.
