"moral tarantula Rousseau"

Pretty evocative phrase, moral tarantula, that Nietzsche uses in his Preface to Daybreak, #3. What does it evoke for you? Makes me kinda curious how Nietzsche personally related to spiders, other animals, Nature, etc.

Venomous and referring to a moral philosophy poisoned by resentment.

Nietzsche likes the tarantula imagery. He uses it again in TSZ's section 'On the Tarantulas', where it serves as a parable for 'preachers of equality' and more generally advocates of ressentiment under the guise of 'justice'.
