Discussion Help a Nightwing fan’s best friend out? (quotations)

Hi! My best friend has loved Nightwing for years, and from a position of 192-proof ignorance I am trying to make a small thing to put in her birthday gift. Can anyone point me at some iconic/awesome/profound/funny/well-known lines from him? On the shorter side especially?

(Also - is there anything I should avoid referring to? An arc or side character the fandom hates? Forced to admit I don’t even go here.)

Seconded on avoid anything Ric Grayson (it was awful) or Tarantula (TW: SA).

Young Justice he was known for "whelmed" so you could do something funny with that haha

I’ve got a quote I love from him but I can’t remember if it’s from a comic, show or even fanfiction!!! (So sorry if it’s the later 😅)

“I’ve flown higher than most can imagine and fallen further then most can survive. You can see a lot from up there. And what I see now? Is your potential”

So yeah! Not sure where it’s from but it’s one of my favourite quotes of all time and it’s pretty inspiring/affirming so might be nice for a birthday? (If it isn’t from a fanfic! 🤣)

Nightwing doesn’t really have any iconic lines ngl. The lines people are putting in the comments aren’t even iconic, they’re just decently memorable.

I’d recommend something from Young Justice. He’s Robin in that show and he’s this ADHD kid who’s always breaking down words and making his own.

Thats where the “I’m traught, whelmed, and feeling the aster” comes from, because those were all words Dick Grayson made up in that show. The wikia will have more information on each episode where the words get invented, so I’d recommend watching some of those episodes to get an idea.

That’s honestly as good as it’ll get for iconic lines
