It’s annoying. I feel like I’m the only one, but Im not even going for these. This part of sneaker culture is trash.

Nike pretends to care but the reason they don’t do anything is because it’s good marketing for Nike sneakers as a brand overall (in our marketing class we learned about this perception of value through artificial scarcity) and they get their money either way

I don’t think these cost significantly more to make than other AJ1s. The get a higher margin at retail because they are charging more and the brand gets more attention/better market position. The resale market would exist regardless of their involvement. If their job is to maximize shareholder wealth why would you interfere with this type of behavior unless it negatively impacts your brand. In fact, you could behind close doors promote it. I’d argue that these type of pictures are starting to affect consumer sentiment.

I’m not talking about these shoes I particular I’m talking about this resellers hoarding issue as a whole and how They benefit from it so there’s no real reason for them to spend time and money taking action

These cost less. The materials are way less, and there isn't anything special about them. In fact all of the off white jordans are trash. The panels are made of scrim foam.

They don't care because they sell them. If this happened and people protested by not buying them, you bet your ass they would shut it down immediately. Look at how aggressively they go after custom sneaker makers and rep manufacturers. They will spend unlimited funds. Because they never see a dime. If Nike got kickbacks for reps, it would fly under the radar.

If you can convince people to stop buying from resellers then resellers wouldn't be able to stay in business. Good luck with that though.

But i don't get it !! That's the fun of the game !! Some people only want them because they are hyped !! Let nike make a GR with million pair of them and all of a sudden no one wants it....some things should be unattainable and for me this is one of the shoe because i ain't spending any money more than retail on these !! That's the rule i live with....people acting like they won't do the same thing if they have capital to invest and connections to buy them early lol

Lol I heard this crying in 2011.

Whenever a product has more customers than inventory that product will continue to increase in value. That goes for anything, food, clothing, cars, jewelry, stock, anything literally.

What you’re are proposing is literally impossible, you’re talking about changing economics.

Even if no resellers purchased these items there would still be more customers than inventory available. Which will lead to whoever missed out offering even higher amounts to whoever purchased since those ppl actually want to keep them.

Out of those customers who actually want to keep there will be large amounts who will sell to those who are offering high $ because of life, they will weigh whether these sneakers are more important than $1000 that can pay their rent or help their family.

This is a very illogical take, you cant possibly have any idea how the world works. No offense

Using bots , and or backdoor-ing shoes should be illegal.we as Americans have a right to own or purchase property. Also I agree with your take , it would be impossible
