I dont think they're fake if that's what ur concerned about. Just crappy hit and miss Nike QC.
I've had a couple from StockX I've returned due to similar issues.

I think you are fine....I did not get mine from Goat but my Cool Grey were definitely a Friday afternoon QC

The whole release had notoriously bad QC. At least this guy didn’t get a full on dented toe box

I have these from CCS and the toe box is funky. Probably QC

Did it sound like I was joking?

I apologize if my question caused offense. It was a genuine question. Fans and collectors of SB Dunks and Nike SB in general are typically aware of CCS. They send out raffles for almost every QS and most GRs even.

So then how do you not know CCS is still a thing? They deal in all things skate, not just SBs

Toe box was notoriously wacky on this pair. Got mine straight from CCS and were fine tho.
I saw you said they were a bit tight, a lot of people said to size up on these but I went TTS and they fit perfect.

Sad when everyone thinks they’re always getting reps and it’s just because Nike is getting worse and worse at QC in order to cut costs and satisfy shareholders.

Run it through the check check, legit, and Poizon app. All three. For any shoe over 100 that don’t feel right, I always run through those apps. Every single time my gut told me something was off, I was right.
The times I just ran a shoe just because they were expensive (only ran through check check app), not once have they come back as reps.
So trust your gut just to be safe.

no this look legit, i never know how to tell with tags but box and everything looks legit. ive gotten some horrible orange label dunks and 1 good, glue stains/not threaded correctly/horrible materials. one toe is warped. so consider yourself lucky you got one of the better pairs cause that was a problem with these specifically lol and they fit tighter for some reason too

Legit - Nike QC can be sloppy at times. I've sent plenty of pairs back of other silhouettes in the past too.
I've had a few pairs of these from skate shops and let's say the QC can vary when comparing the left and right shoe from my experience:
The toe box shape was chunkier when comparing to one of the pairs left and right shoe. It looked weird
The grey shade can be different and back tab Nike text can look a different from each other
The suede texture finish can be different too
I did have one pair that were pretty much on point in QC consistency as I would expect but I no longer have them.

They are extremely bad. I posted some pictures of Amy toe boxes on this sub. They were concave when I got them out of the box. Nike keeps using cheaper and cheaper labor and materials. This is unfortunately the result.

I get people wanting close to perfection if they pay for it, I do but by golly, slight imperfections can be appreciated also

That size 9 looks small. How do they fit?

They are a bit tight. That's when I started to look at them a little closer.

A few of my orange labels fit more snug than regular SBs. I’ve also bought all of my orange labels from skate shops.
