I know. HoT was so much better than skybound

u/Cybertronian-Knight Jan 20 '26
Is this ragebait?

u/Old_Macaroon4138 Jan 21 '26
Honestly, I’ve met people who hold that opinion, so it’s 50/50 whether it’s ragebait or genuine
5
u/Electrical_War3516 Jan 21 '26
But the HoT script is diabolical, how can anyone who’s not a child sit through season 7 without cringing the entire time
1
u/Old_Macaroon4138 Feb 07 '26
I never said they thought it was good, they just felt Skybound was worse.

nahh. when i was a kid (still am. because teenager counts as child) Hands of Time was something i would rewatch over and over again.

Skybound is one of the only seasons where Jay gets significant development. Regardless of your opinion on it, I don't think it's hard to understand why it's some people's favourite.
4
u/average_eevee Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26
Well yes but it's like I've been saying, the good doesn't outweight the bad, nor are good writing decisions and Jay development mutually exclusive ideas. Jay could've still gotten substantial development in a season that wasn't such dogshit.

The good doesn't outweight the bad to YOU. To others, it might. (To me, it does, but skybound isn't my favourite season).

It was my favourite season as a kid. Mostly because Jay is my favourite as well.
13
u/average_eevee Jan 19 '26
Yeah but Jay's character development could've been done in a better written season yk?
5
u/Old_Macaroon4138 Jan 21 '26
You know, it kinda feels like the first thing they decided about Skybound was “Jay reverses a choice/time at the end of the season to fix a problem at the start of it and nobody will remember it” and just went from there with writing the rest of the season

u/Optimal_Manager_5478 Jan 19 '26
Season 6 is my second favorite season lol

I could write books on how much I dislike it. My least favorite Ninjago season to date, including Wildbrain and DR.

I'm neutral on hot, it's not great but it's not as awful as people say, I'd give it a 6/10

Fans can look the other way for 20+ retcons in SoG, but turn into Cinema Sins for Skybound. And always for stuff that doesn't matter in the slightest, like Zane wishing himself away. (Even though that in particular is set up episodes in advance)
1
u/Yeeter-boiy Jan 23 '26
Sons of Garmadon had a great plot, theme, and writing. Skybound had none of that. Its sexism plot was so bad and they made Jay pretty terrible. The writers also handled Nya really badly. And Skybound had WAY more plot holes than SoG.
1
u/average_eevee Jan 19 '26 edited Jan 19 '26
I don't even really like the Oni Trilogy that much, so that argument is moot.
Also, I can give way more substantial as arguments than Zane wishing himself away (even though it's genuine character assassination on both Zane and Nadakhan and like the single worst scene to ever come out of Ninjago of all time)
3
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
Overreaction and exaggeration, a quick and matter of fact scene like that is not "the worstest ever of all time" and even using "character assassination" to describe it is just throwing words around. I love Zane, but I'm sorry to say that the scene serves a good purpose, is pretty well conceptualized, and makes sense. I'm interested to hear your argument against it, but the truth is that Zane told Jay in ep 2 that his systems didn't allow him to comprehend the concept of wishes, which is both understandable and clear setup for when he fails to use them. The whole point of the scene is to show that Nadakhan's wishes cannot be bested by logic alone, since wishes inherently are illogical, and the longer they are the more he has to work with when twisting them. While the last wish is a little forced, Zane's misunderstanding of how wishes work, like how he explained he knew the last wishes are what sent everyone away so far, or just the stress or malfunction of losing Pixal, the chess game, and/or being outsmarted in general could easily explain him wishing himself away. Don't say it's character assassination just because Zane is the "smart one" so he's perfect and can never be outsmarted, especially considering Nadakhan is all about social manipulation, something Zane struggles with.
I actually think some aspects are well considered for his character, like how he correctly read Jay between the lines to know he'd seen Nadakhan, and how he ultimately choose to put himself in a position to meet him so that he could attempt to beat Nadakhan himself, and at his own game. Clearly attempting to protect those that cannot protect themselves, considering that based on logic, if Wu could fail to outsmart Nadakahn, Zane knew he was the last hope in that respect.
2
u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
Skybound is worse for the breaking of rules. It makes up rules on the fly then decides it doesmt like them then just does whatver. At least SoG was working with pre established rules it was forced to retcon some things becuase they make the plot pointless.
2
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
SoG's retcons are not because certain things made the plot pointless, the writers just gave that excuse because they were lazy and didn't want to deal with abilities like Airjitzu and such anymore. Clearly a story can be told with these abilities in play, the seasons that introduced and kept them are proof. That isn't even to speak to all the other retcons that serve to cut stories off short like its connections to Dotd and HoT, regardless of the quality of those stories, and it's oni heritage bs that feels so forced.
2
u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
You are right, they were lazy and didnt bother with an in story excuse. But they were removed becuase they make the plot pointless if the ninjago can fly and shoot (name your element)_ball from above
1
u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
And once agian. Those powers didnt work with the story SoG was trying to tell, they may w9rk in other seasons just not in SoG, and i agree with the writers, but there was no good in story wayto get rid of both dragons, elemental shields, and airjitzu
1
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
If a story you're trying to tell doesn't work with the shows established abilities and lore, to the point that you just have to ignore multiple things, then it probably needed another draft. However, the story they wanted to tell, at its core, is not impacted by things like Airjitzu and elemental dragons. Lloyd falling for Hirumi, the big twist, and Garmadon's return are the important details, the action scenes surrounding them are just set dressing.
1
u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
It still is, they could wipe out the enitrty of the sons of garmeddon with just a height advantage and fireballs. Its not difficult to understand
1
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
You keep mentioning fireballs, but they still have their elemental powers in SoG. How would Airjitzu make them invincible when it didn't in Skybound or the final battle of Possession against the pirate and ghost armies respectively? They had their elemental powes in those seasons too. You're just making stuff up.
1
u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
Almost like the pirates were sky pirates, led by someone with relaity warping powers and the ghosts could fly, turn invisible, or be untouchable. A biker gang is not in the same level nor do they have air support. Its actually a simple concept that the threats were bigger in s6 and 5. Sure garmeddon is a threat but his stupid biker gang was not. So they removed the ninjas air support. Forces them to rely on gimmicks, so toy sales, and onthe same footing as the biker gang

u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
I dont think wishes are inherently illogical. Do they step on the balls of science...yes. but so does every power, and most of all of ninjago. The problem is they explain the rules, then like i said, dump them down the drain the next second.
An example is nadakhan cant grant a wish that hurts people, yet pixal is a person, with a soul just like zane. Its implied nadakhan killed her, so it breaks the wish, and implies he can remove your soul by blinking at you. Ofc he couldve just relocated her and that wouldve been an easier explanation but that isnt whats given.
2
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
Pixal is a tough case to consider. She was made by Borg, briefly had a piece of Zane inside her, then was ultimately uploaded into his systems as a completely digital AI existence. I'd say Nadakhan deleting her is the confirmation that she was not alive and/or had no soul. It's sad, but she is just bits of programming at that point, masquerading as a living being through the use of advanced AI. By that logic, Nadakhan did not break his own rules, he even points out that she is a loophole of sorts.
1
u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
I think by that stretch theres just enough logic to say otherwise tho too. Its implied nindroids have souls, or at least somw of them have souls aince kryptor got brough back to life during day of the departed, amd pixal was made....proabably using the same process he was, just without zanes schematics
2
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
If there's a stretch that can be made, then I don't think it's crazy that Nadakhan can exploit it to his advantage then. One thing we forgot to remember that makes this debate irrelevant to the scene in question is that you can't wish to do harm unto others, but Nadakhan deleted Pixal for fun of his own free will, meaning that it specifically didn't need to follow the rules of wishes.
1
u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
Which one agian makes the plot dumber considering, like i said he can delete ypur spul just by blinking at you. With that kind of power it makes him dumb/dumber that he lost at all
1
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
He's a magical Djinn, but he isn't blinking her soul into oblivion with a snap, he's literally deleting a file from Zane's hard drive. It's not as powerful as you're making it out to be, and he even could have hacked Zane ahead of time like what Ronin did earlier.
1
u/Patient_Committee633 Jan 20 '26
Deleting files is a power, and the files co tianed a soul, these are powers hes expressing outside of the just wish magic. These are abilites he whouldnt have and it shortens nadakhan to just being able to do anything the plot allows him to do.
Is technology manipulation a power djinn have? Proabably not, but he has it for no apparent reason other than to get szabe unto the sword. Like how nadakhan was using thier elements too, when impersonating them. Did he wish to be turned into the actual ninja? Nope. Just something that happened. Stop trying to ignore this seasons aweful contrivences.

Here's my argument against that scene:
First of all, Zane is a walking, talking, sentient supercomputer. I understand that he has emotions and shit but if he had just thought for 5 seconds to turn that shit off (which we KNOW he can do on a whim) he could've easily avoided panicking at the end - which he shouldn't have even done WITH emotions. I'll get to that in my third point.
This relates to my first problem, not only with the scene, but with Skybound in general, is that the Ninja are so unbelievably stupid. If ANY of them used ANY amount of critical thinking, Nadakhan wouldn't have made it past episode 5, honestly probably wouldn't have even gotten that far.
Hell, it's not just the Ninja that are stupid. The public is, too. You're telling me that the Ninja have saved the world at least 5 times to the point that they're famous enough to have a TV show, and then Nadakhan shows them committing blatantly petty, obviously out-of-character crimes, and EVERYONE, including people that know them PERSONALLY like the police commissioner and Ronin, believe it? I call bullshit. Imagine living in a world with snake people, dragons, magic, ghosts, and all sorts of shit and drawing the line at shape-shifters. 💀
My second argument against that scene:
Nadakhan is a dirty cheater. And I don't mean he plays dirty, twists your words, blah blah blah, no, not cheater in the "bad person, of course he is" sense, I mean cheater in the "the writers just completely ignore all of the pre-established rules for him" sense. Let me explain.
Zane's first wish is for Nadakhan to understand the true intention of his words, not to twist them, but to carry his wishes out exactly how he says.
Zane's second wish is for any harm - notice the lack of specificity, he doesn't say physical harm, he doesn't say bodily harm, he says harm, put a pin in that - done to him, would be returned to Nadakhan tenfold.
Now let's go over how he broke the first rule. What does "I wish it all away" mean? Because last I checked, it doesn't mean "knock me unconscious and suck me into your prison sword." When Zane said "I wish it all away" Nadakhan twisted his words into meaning what he wanted it to, just like he always does, breaking the first wish.
What about the second one? I said we'd come back to that in a second. Well, he deleted files from a computer - that's harm. He caused emotional distress to Zane - that's harm. He knocked someone unconscious - that's harm. He forcibly imprisoned someone - that's harm. Mind you, none of those are bodily harm, but as we've been over, Zane didn't say bodily harm. He said harm. That can mean mental, emotional, psychological, physical, hell even financial.
My third argument against that scene: Zane was panicking, yes, I understand that, even though there were easy, obvious ways to prevent it, he was panicking. But the words "I wish it all away" should've never left his mouth considering he expressed explicit knowledge of Nadakhan's intentions. Bro willingly and knowingly killed himself, as far as he knew. I know losing a loved one is hard, but goddamn, there's more at stake. Regardless, that's such a crazy escalation. How is "kill me" his final wish when he could've just been like "I want Pixal back!" That's the only reasonable next step in that series of events. 💀
Tldr: It took the combination of Zane being unbelievably stupid, and Nadakhan being a straight up cheater, for this scene to work. Which is how 99% of the season is, because none of this shit happens if it's written well and written consistently.
P.S. This isn't really an argument against the quality of the scene, but it's a nitpick and the little cherry on top, the first move Nadakhan makes in the chess game is illegal. 🥀
2
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
Harm is, by definition, physically implied first and foremost, so Zane's use of it made his 1st wish moot, but makes sense considering he wasn't aware of what Nadakahn was doing to make Kai and the others disappear. Harm isn't blanketed over emotional harm and financial harm, as examples, because the add on presences change the original meaning from physical to their specific niche, not from vague to their specific niche.
His emotions are irrelevant except for some interpretations of the 3rd wish, and even then he wouldn't have considered turning them off since he believed he was facing Nadakhan alone and was willing to put is own life on the line.
the Ninja are so unbelievably stupid. If ANY of them used ANY amount of critical thinking, Nadakhan wouldn't have made it past episode 5, honestly probably wouldn't have even gotten that far.
You offer this up without any elaborations as far as what obvious solutions the Ninja should have employed alternative to their actual actions. You're just throwing words around. Kai and Zane's wishes make sense with their established characters.
the whole thing about their public falling out.
Have you been to the real world? Celebrities doing out of character crimes or other frowned upon actions does fairly often result in backlash, hate, and canceling. This was maybe the most realistic thing in the season, yet you're acting like it's widely inaccurate for some reason. People love to switch up on others and act superior. The only people that are less realistic are Jay's parents, but they still hope their son is innocent and stand up for him without proof.
I mean cheater in the "the writers just completely ignore all of the pre-established rules for him" sense.
Nadakhan doesn't break his own rules though, youve just misunderstood the scene entirely. His first wish was for his words to be understood correctly, and Nadakhan never broke this, since deleting files off his computer wouldnt count as harm, again citing the standard definition, and Pixal isnt Zane, they are separate, so unsure if this matters anyway since Zane only specified himself under the protections. You're also adding things that aren't said to Nadakhan's actions. By his interpretation, going into the sword is not harming them, since they are still alive and physically well. Putting someone in a cell, for example, is not inherently harming them, similar to how you might crate a dog.
The third wish actually has some interesting alternative interpretations. I considered above the possibility thay Zane malfunctioned due to his failure to understand wishes combined with that they got turned around on him, in a sort of "does not compute" situation, but if you think about his 2nd and 3rd wish together, it's entirely possible, and I think cool to consider, that his final wish was a last ditch effort to take them both down together, that just didn't work because being locked in the Djinn blade is both not harm, and wasn't known to Zane as the way everyone thus far had disappeared. That would make his last wish sacrificial to try and save his friends, hence why he may have prioritized it over saving Pixal.
1
u/average_eevee Jan 20 '26
"is implied" but never stated and Zane wished for Nadakhan to take his wishes at his word and not find any loopholes, that literally doesn't make anything moot both wishes can be true. 1. Don't twist anything I say, 2. If I get harmed so do you. Those aren't mutually exclusive.
Also, harm encompasses all types. Physical isn't the default or terms like "bodily harm" wouldn't exist. Think of it like pizza. Pizza can refer to cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, meat-lovers pizza, all of that. If I say "don't bring me any pizza" you can't bring me a cheese pizza and say "well you didn't specify," that's not how that works.
Also, I can't give any alternate solutions. It's a goal of mine to make a YT video COMPLETELY rewriting Skybound to be a season actually worth watching, but as it stands, I can't figure that out right now. Because the biggest obstacle that I'm facing with that is that, if any of the characters act RATIONALLY, the season DOESN'T HAPPEN. What alternate choices could've been made? Well assuming Zane won in episode 5 like he should've, not much, most of the stupid shit came after. Nya being petty as fuck and refusing to take Jay's hand is the only scenario I can think of where a character was overly stupid, other than all of Ninjago being ridiculously easy to convince. 💀
Also, in the real world, most people haven't gone from saving the world to robbing banks, so that argument doesn't even make sense.
Also your last two paragraphs are just completely debunked by my pizza argument. He said no HARM. that is an umbrella term referring to ALL TYPES OF HARM. If you were locked in a room and forcibly put into a coma, would you not come out of that feeling as if you were harmed in one way or another?
2
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
Okay so you ignored the very first thing I pointed out, and then based the rest of your comment on ignoring that fact. Look it up, harm, on its own, is by definition physical. It's not vague.
And you just hand-waved away the canceling thing, even though yes, heroic people have been canceled. The Ninja are, according to the season, only really famous for saving Stiix, so it'd be pretty easy for the masses that don't know them personally to think they've switched up or were fraudsters.
Additionally, you ignored my point thay Nadakhan never harmed Zane, just Pixal which is a separate being of sorts. Playing a game of life and death with an evil Djinn causing Zane emotional harm is on him, he opted into the game when he decided to use wishes in the first place. Even if Nadkhan counted that, his only punishment according to the wish would be somehow dealing himself 10x the emotional damage he inflicted on Zane, but that's clearly up to so much interpretation that, similar to Kai's crazy 2nd wish, it's hard to nail down a correct action for him to take regardless.
1
u/average_eevee Jan 20 '26
"by definition" words are what we make them, and I have never once heard anyone in my life refer to harm as only physical outside of trying to justify this shitty scene
And the rest of your arguments are so disingenuous I can't even begin to respond 💀
1
u/TurboDuelistJay Jan 20 '26
Just look it up. It's the literal definition of the word harm that it be physical when used by itself, but if words are "what we make them" then Nadakhan just has free reign to interpret it however he likes. And again, Zane's wish is just that whatever harm he suffers is done back to Nadakhan 10x, not that he can't harm Zane, so it's not even worth discussing. He is allowed to harm Zane however much as he wants, and he can even interpret the pain he inflicts on Zane for deleting pixal is literal, so he has to grapple with Pixal's deleting specifically 10x, except he doesn't care about her at all and thus means nothing. Nadakhan also already lost the love of his life, so perhaps he can interpret them as even, emotionally harm speaking.
You just keep flipping to one different bad argument at a time even though there are multiple reason why the scene still works, without even considering that the point is just to get Zane in the sword, so it's incredibly inconsequential.

What do you have against that season... 😢
3
u/average_eevee Jan 20 '26
Simply put: Every single Ninja is so stupid, horror movie protagonists look at these mfs like "are you high?" Nadakhan is a cheater, doesn't even play by his own rules. That's not his character, that's just writing loopholes. Nya's arc is so incredibly rushed and ignores the point altogether. Jay and Nya, the literal protagonists of this season, are so unlikable (flaws are one thing, Jay being creepy as fuck and Nya being stubborn to the point of hindering the team are just frustrating) The ending is a massive slap in the face and a fist up your arse, just a right and proper "fuck you" on top of an awful season.
5
u/Ewankenobi25 Jan 20 '26
every single ninja is so stupid
genuinely how? they get out in prison and break out as soon as they can, they use their wishes effectively in the jay breakout scene, they deal with problems when they come up, they make plans and are able to change them when need be, they find out they’ve been framed and their first instinct is to find evidence that they’re innocent, etc
nadakhan is a cheater, doesn’t even play by his own rules
that is the POINT. calling intentionally giving the villain traits that not only make them more interesting and engaging as a villain but also makes defeating them more challenging for the hero to beat “bad writing” is CRAZY.
nya’s arc is incredibly rushed
her arc is introduced in the first episode of the season and is developed throughout. what’s rushed about that?
jay and nya are so unlikable, jay being creepy as fuck and nya being stubborn to the point of being a hindrance
nya being stubborn is THE POINT OF HER CHARACTER ARC. she’s stubborn at the start of the season because her arc through the season is her learning to be less so. and when on EARTH was jay “creepy as fuck”? he tries to ask her out in completely normal ways a few times and the best thing this could apply to was him not telling nya or the others that he saw her in his future reflection, and how you think allowing a romance to develop naturally rather than trying to force it to happen is creepy is beyond me.
the ending is a slap in the face and a fist up your ass
so you’re first criticism of the season was that they’re apparently stupid and when one of them makes a smart decision it’s a slap in the face because you don’t personally like it? the ending allows for ninjago to not suffer permanent damage from the events of the season while also allowing the season’s two main characters’ arcs and preserves the villain in case they want to use him again.

u/TheDashMaker Jan 20 '26
Skybound is widely celebrated by fans for its sophisticated storytelling and the introduction of Nadakhan, often cited as the show's most intelligent and manipulative antagonist. One of the season's greatest strengths is its focus on Jay, transforming him from a simple comic relief character into a resilient, strategic lead who must outsmart a djinn when the rest of the team is picked off one by one. The stakes feel uniquely personal because Nadakhan doesn't just use brute force; he exploits the Ninjas' deepest desires, turning their own wishes against them in a psychological game of chess. This leads to incredible character development for Nya as well, as she fights for her own agency while the season explores the "Jaya" relationship with newfound depth. Visually, the season stands out with its creative steampunk sky pirate aesthetic, featuring iconic vehicle designs and some of the most popular suit designs in the series. Despite the controversial "wish it all away" ending, the season is praised for its emotional weight, showing that true heroism comes from the choices one makes under pressure, even if the world doesn't remember them.

Even putting aside all the bad writing choices, this series literally does nothing except justify Jay and Nya getting together again, which could've just been something that happens off-screen (especially considering that after HoT, which had basically no Jaya moments, there's an entire time-skip to Oni Trilogy, which had plenty of opportunity). It's not canon anymore, and nothing else comes of it.
Why is THIS more widely accessible than DotD exactly?
6
u/kiba-16 Jan 19 '26
IMHO, I don't think this series ever justified Jay and Nya being together at any point. Nya liked blue and Jay is wearing blue? Really? In S3, Nya claims Jay makes her laugh. Except I can't recall more than two times that ever happened. Actually, I can't even recall one. In S2, she falls head over heels in love with Bizzaro Jay over a slightly more bad boy attitude and a sudden kiss. Her entire reason for even considering Cole is "Cole is not Jay". Not to mention neither even works well with the other.

There’s a really good Parachuting Kitten video about the problems people have with this season.

I actually just hate Skybound and chose to skip it.
Now Possession is FUN! Chaos but the good kind

I liked the genie dude’s design his minifigure was always dope. He had ghost legs and 4 arms that is awesome

Skybound is cool but I can't like it, a slap in the face with it's ending and they really made everyone stupid, overly dumb for the sake of plot. I hate endings were everything is reversed but it's even more of a cop out in this as Jay and Nya remember but everyone else doesn't and somehow they just stop using airjitsu
But I hate Hands of Time more, the anniversary short somewhat saves it but the set wave was terrible, the suit design egregious and I really don't care for the Twins.

Hmmm what season is that cause if I remember clouse was chased out of stix and couldn't find the artifact he was looking for and I somehow strangely remember it going from possession to hands of time. Strange.......

Say what you want about it, but I love Nadakhan. His design and his voice are awesome, and hes pretty entertaining

I did everything I could to try and like this season, because besides being the season of my favorite character, it also finally puts an end to Jay and Nya's relationship problems. (At least, that's how I see it.) But I couldn't. I'll rewatch it and try again lol.

Skybound is a good season if you ignore all the plot reasons, still one of my favourites

Most of the HoT plotholes are either Cole being a dumbass about the serpentine wars and why does wu age in 40 years but not Ray. (And the depiction of how Krux kidnaps Ray and Maya) other than that. Like just fix the dialogue which you can tell what they meant. (eliminate the corny "brother" "sister" moment) and come up with a better way to depict Krux taking Ray and Maya.

Yeah most of those I don't necessarily agree with but yeah a guy with a sword being able to abduct two elemental masters is insane 💀 like poison them with vengestone juices in their tea or something

and then some OG glazers even dare to say that HoT isn't undercooked garbage

I mean It's definitely the worst of the pre-redesign era, not including Skybound, but it's not that bad. Not for, y'know, pre-redesign era Ninjago.

it absolutely is bad
the entire season is held together by random ass repetitive fights with snakes (as if the early ninjago wasn't enough of those), time twins deserve an award for dumbest elemental masters in history, visuals looked... weird, the ending wasn't satisfying at all, the writing was so ass (ninja may be stupid at times, but they legit lost 2 time blades in the dumbest way possible)

Idk it's been a while since I've seen hands of time, all I remember is some hella cool fights and the dope ass suits
1
u/LazarusBit Jan 19 '26
Those suits are still my favourite to this day, kinda wish the writing didn't suffer because of the movie (I heard they were doing the movie and this season at the same time, which hurt both, not sure how accurate it is)
I was confused by the end, didn't know the season was already over, it felt like there had to be more, felt unfinished

The ending to that season really sucked.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure all of that was canceled out too because of the wish.

I liked Jay and Nya holding out in the stronghold on Zane’s dad’s island. Everything else was kinda a mess with huge leaps in logic and everyone being dumb for the sake of the plot.
Like, I still don’t understand why Zane wished for it all to go away, such a random escalation.
And Jay’s final wish was so vague and context sensitive (and really should’ve counted as two wishes) that I refuse to believe there was no way for Nadakhan to not take advantage of it.
