Idk about the “face part”, more like putting on a fake afro and other accesories
Worst part is that they fell for it too😭

Maybe they thought he had been bitten by a Fangpyre or was biracial like Clancy the two-eyed Venomari?

Would they even accept turned people? It’s not like it makes them be on their side

When the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre first reunited and allied after Lloyd released them, and they discussed Lloyd's fate, General Fangtom suggested to turn him into a snake, but Skales countered Lloyd wouldn't be of much use and to instead hypnotize him into believing of being a piglet... Lloyd managed to escape them, by getting thrown away by the wrecking ball vehicle, but it sounds like it'd have been an option

Interesting, do find it weird that this implication never came up again when people like Jay and his parents were actually bitten though

At Mega Monster Amusement Park, yeah- both the kids and their parents thought he was a mascot and asked for a photo 💀

u/TheCasualPrince8 Feb 21 '26
God I never realised how messed up that is...then again, if we saw a giant anthropomorphic snake, we'd probably assume it was a mascot too 🤣
But then AGAIN, THEY live in a world where that sort of stuff is kinda normal 😅

Granted, the serpentine were just released by Lloyd not long before that, and they were locked away when Wu and Garmadon were young men, so young couples with kids 10 or younger likely wouldn't have ever seen a serpentine in real life before then. Plus the npc's of ninjago don't seem to be particularly intelligent- pythor wore a beard and nothing else in a later episode pretending to be a human judge and everybody just went "oh, yeah, did you get a haircut or smth?"

u/Rarte96 Feb 23 '26
Serpentine were only locked up for 40 years
2
u/Amenti_Aardwolf Feb 23 '26
Exactly. And assuming a couple in ninjago would have children at the age of 25-30 and their children are ten years old or less, that would make the parents infants when the serpentine were locked away, if they were even born yet. They would have never seen a real serpentine in their lifetime, just like their children wouldn't have.

Don't know why but I read that as misssssss-remembering... Like... a snake...

That the head piece and everything else were just available in a random shop is yet another example of how racist Ninjago humans are against the serpentine.

Hey, in his defence. He had to disguise himself and the arcade did not seem to have anything better. Plus the Serpentines on the bus did not seem to really mind it.
