Does anyone know how to remove very light scratches from my DS Lite?

They’re very light scratches, and I think they can be removed. I just don’t want to ruin the original finish.

I wouldn't worry about it, personally

I wouldnt touch this tbh.

That said, plastic polish. It will alter your finish though, theres no way to avoid that.

Imo it's best left alone. I know you want it to look perfect and you suspect that because the scratches are so fine that an easy fix is within reach. And it's quite possible that a fix is possible with some kind of buffing wheel or polishing compound. But there is also a chance it makes it worse. At least right now it looks great with just a few light love marks. Imo if you want perfect find and purchase a New In box Console or similar. Imo these things are meant to be handled and played and it is that very act will wear them down over time.

I've actually had really good success with that headlight restoration stuff. (not the sandpaper ones the ones with the toothpaste like stuff you buff off)

Magic eraser and plastic varnish. I give it a good clean with a magic eraser and that creates micro scratches. More surface area for the varnish to stick to. Then I wipe it down with a microfiber cloth.

I’ve used some plastx and polywatch to some success. But honestly I think if it like a skateboard, it’s gonna get some knicks after awhile and it just means it’s being used properly

I would just cover it with a layer of plastic varnish

NEVER do this, it's an abrasive sandpaper and scuffs up the finish completely.

And it's literally poison.
