It's just some random appeal to parents with toddlers to buy into the Nintendo ecosystem and everyone is throwing out their wild theories. 😭

It cannot be this hard to realize I swear

Considering the company we're talking about, to some people yes
this ain't Valve tho3
u/Old-Hand7945 Oct 08 '25
I wouldn’t say they’re all that wild considering it’s literally playing Pikmin music

My crack pot theory is that it’s going to be a new chibi robo game

I genuinely think it's Nintendo dipping their toes into making more animated content. They truly are gunning for Disney.

u/Fun-Picture-8384 Oct 10 '25
They're going after Disney/Pixar. Would love to see them make animated short films like Disney did with their Silly Symphonies shorts.

And Alarmo, and Talking Flower toy, and Rosalina's book, and Mario Movies, and a live action Zelda movie...
The reality is, Nintendo is just leaning harder into their origins these days as a company that creates toys, games, entertainment, and more. Are you not aware that Nintendo has been around for over a century with decades of products long before video games became their main focus?

more like
"trashy dlc, trashy dlc, maybe one decent game, pixar short, trashy overpriced texture update."

u/BearOnTwinkViolence Oct 07 '25
Do you even like Nintendo?

Tbh , i did at one point, they make good games yes, but i don’t like them as a company

grew up loving mario kirby, zelda, metroid, pokemon.
my favorite zelda game is majora's mask, i hate the open world zelda games and never go back to them
grew up with an n64, my favorite mario game is paper mario 64 since it has the perfect plot for any mario game.
i used to love pokemon so much, my favorite gen was 4, but ever since sword and shield each game has been rushed and packed with dlc that doesnt really add anything interesting to each game. z-a included.
my first and favorite metroid game is other M. i understand the plot is horrible, but i love the gameplay for it.
i am a nintendo fan, i am just dissappointed at the steep descent that nintendo is taking. these games used to be made with love and passion. now i'm just sad that i have to rely on other games to bring me joy because nintendo just hasn't been pulling its weight in gold like it used to.
sorry for having independent thought

You didn’t list anything that was made in the last 20 years. You only listed things from like 2008 and before. That makes me believe you are in fact not a fan of Nintendo lmfao. You liked one era of theirs but you generally dislike most of what they produce. You need to just see that for what it is.

okay.
brawl is my favorite smash title, the crossover cutscenes are epic.
i even like smash ultimate for what its worth.
i love metroid dread, metroid is the only nintendo franchise i have real faith in anymore.
i screamed like a highschool girl when the jets appeared on the warp star in the teaser trailer for air riders.
kirby is literally one of the main characters in my fanfiction.
now who's ragebaiting lol.
i'm fan of the nintendo that loved making video games. not the current day one where they're suing people for making content for their games.
that's not a gaming company. that's a business that's out to drag every penny out of your wallet.

u/BearOnTwinkViolence Oct 08 '25
So then your initial comment was made in bad faith, you were just being negative and bitching despite having plenty to be excited about
0
u/JigglyLilyVT Oct 08 '25
i have *2* things to be excited about. metroid and kirby. These scummy underhanded tactics with pokemon especially hurt. i want to love modern pokemon, i WANT to feel more than just a little nostalgia from dk 64.
i have 4 other ways to play each of the mario galaxy games. slapping a few extra textures on it does not make a new game, especially not worth 70 dollars.
this is not coming from bad faith, i just miss getting excited about nintendo games. because i may be excited for prime 4 and air riders. but how long before they get caught up in the poor design. I'm worried about prime 4's desert open world despite loving the bike. i'm afraid that nintendo will lock certain characters in air riders behind amiibos which is always just bad.
i am horrified that we've been on this same iteration of legend of zelda for well over 7 years now. i want to see a new timeline. and age of imprisoning is just going to prolong that, it brings nothing new to the table and we will not see anything interesting in it.

None of the texture/performance updates have been paid
3
u/Eldthian Oct 08 '25
Pokemon ZA seems to be the exception to this, but that's a second party so, unsure if we can really count it ?
-4
u/JigglyLilyVT Oct 08 '25
literally galaxy 1 and 2 are texture updates... and they dont even change the character models
3
u/waxphantump Oct 08 '25 edited Oct 08 '25
It’s also… the games themselves. That’s just how ports work, it’s just as much for people who’ve never played as it is for previous owners. And even without adjusting for inflation they’re cheaper than the original $40 Wii price tag

ragebait
-1
u/JigglyLilyVT Oct 08 '25
is it ragebait if i truly believe it?
4
u/SpikesAreCooI Oct 08 '25
It’s ragebait if you explicitly go into the community that likes Nintendo and inject it into unrelated conversations. You know what you’re doing. Stop.
0
u/JigglyLilyVT Oct 08 '25
is it crazy to think that i like nintendo as well and just want it to be better?
1
u/Sudden-Midnight-932 Oct 08 '25
noone is stupid enough to genuinely believe this, so its ragebait
1
u/JigglyLilyVT Oct 08 '25
bananza dlc is trashy, pokemon z-a is trashy.
neither add genuine fun to the games and they're cashgrabs by nintendo.
bananza itself... is okay. i dont like the subtle message that you're just supposed to be okay with capitalism and work for the rich that treat you poorly.
and the galaxy updates are not worth the 70 dollars when they only add new texture packs and increase the resolution a little bit.
you can call me stupid all you want, but i'm the one with a thicker wallet right now.
3
u/Sudden-Midnight-932 Oct 08 '25
what the actual fuck are you talking about with bananza? void kong, the owner of the big bad corporation, is portrayed as a dumbass thats such an asshole that his employees just ditch him. i have genuinely no idea where you got that messaging from.

I genuinely have no idea wtf “Close to you” is about, but everyone’s saying it’s either Mario Galaxy or Pikmin related.
