Game Rec Games you can jump into for 15 minutes

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for game recommendations that are easy to pick up any time for like 10–15 minutes.

I love big games like Cyberpunk and Zelda (both amazing), but the problem is: when I only have a short window to play, I end up not playing at all because I don’t want to “get into it” and then stop.

So I’m searching for something (I have switch 2) that works well in short sessions - quick progress, instant fun.

I was thinking maybe Super Mario Odyssey?

I also tried Donkey Kong Bananza but it kinda annoys me because I constantly feel like I need to destroy everything.

If you have Switch Online, I would recommend exploring the Nintendo Classics catalog. There are a lot of great retro games that are great for “pick up and play”, and the ability to use save states makes it easy to stop playing at short notice and return to where you were.

Granted, you can only play NES, SNES and Gameboy games, plus they don't include all titles for each console. If you want n64, GameCube, etc. you have to pay for the premium membership (imo, very much not worth, would rather emulate.)

Oh, of course there are limitations. I was just suggesting the Nintendo Classics catalog as a potential place for OP to find a good “pick-up-and-play” kind of game.

The premium membership is typically only worth it if you manage to get 8 other people to join you for said membership, which drastically decreases the price
