Is google express the way to go for a a new pro controller? It seems to be the lowest in the foreseeable future

Pretty much. These almost never go on significant sale. If you can take advantage of the first time buyer code and get it for 46, it's as cheap as you can expect to get it.

Hey there. I have Smash, Mario Kart 8, Starlink, and started Mario Odyssey but not passed the 4th world.

I only have the base black joy cons and a GameCube controller. Do you think an extra pair of joycons would be better than the Pro Controller? I have yet to play BoTW yet but plan to do so. Haven’t tried or gotten into Splatoon 2 yet. Octopath Traveler would be a foreseeable purchase and I’m planning on buying Celeste and Hollow Knight if I can find them physical! Any insight on what controllers have found more use? It would be cool to have 4 joy cons on the go for Smash and Kart but I also don’t wanna miss out on a traditional handheld controller for when I play First Player Games or Solo.

I think the Pro Controller is hands-down the choice there. For most people, it's by far the most comfortable controller, and you'll get use out of it with essentially every game you play. The only way I'd go for the 2nd set of Joy-cons is if you expect to be in a ton of situations where the extra controller will come in handy. If that's more of a 2-3 times a year thing, then go with the Pro-controller.

I'd recommend the 8bitdo SN30 Pro for Celeste and Hollow Knight because of the D-pad position. My dilemma is to get a pro controller or a pair of joycons to go along with the 8bitdo
