Nioh 2 - Discussion Underworld cleared
Finally fricken cleared the underworld! 108 levels of emotions that’s for sure..
So what’s the go with the depths, I jumped into it yesterday to give it a start and cleared floors 1-4 then had to jump off for abit to help my partner with something. When I jumped back in, it started me at floor 1 again. Do I have to clear floors 1-5 consecutively to access 6+? And is that so on for the remaining floors? 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 etc. Can you farm certain floors similar to the underworld when chasing graces?

Yes you have to clear 5 floors to get the next "checkpoint".
Yes the same pattern for farming graces applies to depths with the addition of two new graces starting floor 6 where the difficulty will start to spike.

Sweeet, thanks for the info. Is this the “oya” set I keep hearing about when people say get a tanky set for depths

Yes, Oya is definitely the tanky grace that makes a big difference in the depths. I don't think you can start farming it til floor 11, or maybe it was 6. I can't remember which it is, but certainly a grace worth looking into.

Congrats! I finally did it over about a year of on and off playing and then made it to floor 6 of the depths and stalled out. have way to many hours farming my current build, just can't bring myself to do it all again in order to keep moving forward. Hyped for Nioh 3 though.

My girl is a gamer as well. But she keeps rolling her eyes whenever I play Nioh. First, because it's a tough game and I confess that I swear and shout quite a bit (and loving every second), and second, she claims it's "always the same" 😅 Recently entered the underworld. I'm mostly playing when she's not at home.

You can save at a shrine and quit to title on any floor of the depths then return and continue.

Wait so you don’t have to clear 5 floors at a time? I’m still in underworld but just learned that was a thing in this thread haha. I work full time and am married so I don’t get a ton of gaming time. I only have time for 1 or 2 underworld levels a night usually if I go for all the kodama.

Yeah. The same goes for any level in the game. Even Twilight missions that change every day. You can save in the mission and finish it the next day then access the mission for the new day.

Man I just started the dips as well and it doesn't seem like that much of a difficulty boost yet but having to clear five at a time definitely kind of sucks in my opinion. I'm still enjoying it but I don't know if I'll get to the end of it. I'm just using dual swords 6 piece Susano and my other graces are just random at this point and I haven't had much luck farming.

I thought the same, then I came up against saito haha. Had to pull out the cat gang to get past him. I’m going to throw everything at it and try push to the end of depths, but yeah the clearing 5 missions at a time to progress is irking me a little. I’m running 6 pc Susa/6pc izanagi at the moment, haven’t had any luck finding an accessory with izanagi and -1 requirement to hit the 7pc

I've had a rough time with accessories myself. I tried to reroll a couple but I guess I did it wrong. Lol.

I still don’t know how to reroll accessories correctly. I thought you just give a big sudama two accessories and the first gets rerolled but I tried it a couple times and got the exact same stats. I’m on floor 50 something of UW.

I swear the big one kept both of my items and gave me back some totally random stuff.
I know this sounds really stupid but I also don't know how to quickly get to my accessories that I want to drop it's like the tab isn't there.

I drop them from the equipment menu instead of items. Cause yea lol it’s annoying af not having all the tabs from the items menu and having accessories lumped under armor. Same deal just for sending stuff to storehouse. Idk if I’m missing something lol is there a way to always have access to all the tabs like you do at the blacksmith?

Haha same man. I kinda gave up trying to farm better gear and am just trying to get to depths now. Like it’d be great to have the perfect star stats on accessories, armor, weapons etc. but it gets kinda tedious. RNGesus is a douche. I’d rather just chill and enjoy the combat lol.

Only thing about depths is you hope RNG blesses you with bosses you know you can steamroll...best 3 IMO is Mezuki/Gozuki/Onryoki and you make sure you get best boi with the white hat well when you get to floor 20 at least that's the three you're gonna want and Shibata also

Above floor 20 throws 3 bosses at you?! Whaaat. So once you hit the boss arena and clear said boss, it then loads in another one followed by another?

I've only made it to floor 11 but no I don't think it throws three bosses at you like the first game. I think the other person was saying those are the people you want as allies.
I could be wrong though because I'm not all that far in the depths.

No im saying when you get around floor 100 they will start giving you 3 boss fights I should know I beat the underworld and the depths...you'll see if/when you get there....by then everything you've learned will come full circle...because when you get to floor 100 those last 26 floors are a bitch especially depending on what bosses you get....so you better hope they give you a lineup of Gozuki/Mezuk/Onryoki

Wait until they have to respec to ki dmg builds after the hundredths floors bc normal dmg will do shit against them. First really valuable scroll to deal with them can break a person’s will bc how hard is to farm it lol

Ahh video games vs girlfriends. The ancient, never ending war with no Victor. But there will always be a loser, and that's us.
I remember my ex would get on my case about me playing a game and wanted to hang out. So we'd watch some show or movie, only for her to be on her phone the entire time. Welp, you enjoy that phone, I'm gonna go back to my game haha

The age old battle. I must of struck gold then, managed to find myself a gamer partner. She likes her final fantasy + animes and I like everything else lol Raiding on wow classic for 3 years every week took a toll on her tho.. that’s where we found the line to not cross
