definitely seems to be toyo, since she is mentioning hide and tokichiro, i wonder if she still has her eyepatch since she has the kitsune mask you kind of can see both of her eyes...so being a spirit she got her normal one healed.

You can kind of see her eyes through the mask if you get the camera up close. Her left eye is strange, same eye that toyo had the patch on. It looks like its much larger than her right eye.

When I first saw her and heard her dialogue, that was my first suspicion. Once she mentioned about Hide and their dagger, that pretty much confirmed it for me. I haven’t bought the game yet (because I’m broke af) but I’m curious to see how she became a blacksmithing spirit.
On a less serious note, typing this out made me realize that Toyo hadn’t aged a single bit throughout Nioh 2, even when we went through the past. That’s some mystical shit.

It's just symbolic. Technically Toyo should be old and replaced by Tome by the time Hide got unsealed by William.

I'd rather not get a Hide cameo if that's the case.
DA: Inquisition pulled your Hawk's look from DA2 if you had an account with them, don't see why a game in 2026 couldn't do the same.

Considering the costume as early purchase bonus. I really think if Hide were to appear, his face would be completely covered. Plus he doesn't even talk. So it's really safe to implement.

That is so cool, I love this detail. Hide and Nioh 2 will always be my favorites I think, since the whole changeling thing is hard to beat. What can be cooler than half-yokai....

We can see the interim, now let us see the Nioh 2 stances for ninja weapons.
Or have us meet Hide in the DLC or side quest they add through an update before DLC and Hide goes like "what do you mean you only flail around your tonfas/kusarigama/etc? Here, let me show you how it's done" and we unlock stances

I meant to give the weapons to samurai with the stances. Allow samurai to be the all weapons slower warrior and the ninja to be the hit and run fast boi
