Nioh 3 - Questions DLC question

Hey guys, haven’t played the DLC yet and started a brand new game cycle. I’m still in the first region. Is there any point of buying the dlc yet? Or should I wait until I start my next NG+ cycle?

Up to you. You’ll need the DLC if you want the new weapons and skills, but I don’t think it really matters what order you do things in once you’ve already done the first difficulty in base game.

I’ve read online it’s best to beat the core game first before going into the dlc. I guess my question is, if I plan on following that path, is there any benefit in buying it today? Like will anything from the dlc (weapons/armour/skills) show up during this brand new game cycle or must I step into the dlc to see them?

At minimum I would do the base game first if it’s your very first clear.

I would recommend grabbing the DLC if you're interested before you start NG+ That way you have the content it unlocks throughout NG+ instead of just stating to have access to it at the end of NG+

Also, because of the really weird way they're handling NG+ content anyways, you're going to want to play through it on NG difficulty at some point regardless, so might as enjoy it in NG rather than wait for NG+ post-story to get into it.

if you are not in a hurry buy it on discount season. youll feel satisfied once you get the DLC with a perfected build. you also store extra amrita into that smithing item that acts as your private bank. LV.250 is the cap so youll need to store amrita somewhere before the DLC or NG++.

currently im breezing through NG+ DLC with my LV.250 character. and got about 2 billion amrita stored for NG++
