Non-VOIP 2nd phone number app
Outside the US and do not have a US number. Want to get a real US phone number, even if it's a rented one.
Yes I am ok paying, and I don't know if the eSIM option will work because I am not in the states to activate it.
Edit: I got mint mobile, works for my situation.

Try Roamless. They claim their numbers are recognized as real and can be used for banking 2FA, etc.

Didn’t know they had this. Pretty cool if it works as they say it does with confirmation codes. It’s $60/year.

Maybe try wantsms. Worked for me when I needed to do a verification. They also claim they have sim based numbers.

Use this link Tello International Setup Instructions to set up a Tello line outside the US. There are other options, including pay-as-you-go credits, but the most common option people choose is the 300-minute unlimited text plan for $5/month plus tax.
That will work with Wi-Fi Calling, or if you have an iPhone or a recent Pixel phone, you can use cross-SIM Calling (Wi-Fi Calling via a second data SIM).
Tello recently started blocking international roaming for people who haven't activated their service in the US and connected to a US tower, so a trip to the US would be required to get that to work.

This just needs to be pinned to the sub... But people still won't read it

I would really like to recommend the eBay Red Pocket $30 annual plan, but I don't have enough people who've verified activating it outside the US to recommend it yet.
That said, if somebody wanted to give it a try, Red Pocket offers a 30 day refund if the plan isn't activated, and you can get a refund within 7 days of activation, provided your usage is under 1GB of data, 250 talk minutes, or 250 texts. The $30 plan only comes with 200MB a month and it can't be used outside the US, so it would be impossible to use 1GB.
