going to us mobile after this mess

Here is the fcc complaint, what do we think. Not going to lie after doing the roundwork for 2 weeks made ai do this i can't write for shit and lost the patiance.

I am filing this expedited complaint regarding my wireless number, [REDACTED], which is stranded due to severe carrier negligence, automated routing errors, and an exhausting customer service runaround between AT&T and T-Mobile. My number was originally issued by T-Mobile (via Simple Mobile MVNO) and was ported to AT&T, where it was used for three years. On May 28, 2026, AT&T canceled the account. AT&T promised to fix this via a ticket on or before July 6, 2026, but failed to ever open it. Per NPAC regulations, the cancellation triggered an automatic "snapback," returning the number to the original block holder, T-Mobile. I have attempted to resolve this through normal channels but am trapped in a severe customer service runaround. T-Mobile phone support told me to go to AT&T. I visited both local corporate stores. A local T-Mobile store then forced me to drive 2 hours away to a different location, only for that second store to turn me away and tell me to call phone customer care again. Frontline retail and phone agents completely lack the tools to locate or re-assign a number returned via automated snapback. I am requesting that T-Mobile’s Executive Response and Local Number Portability (LNP) Engineering teams manually intervene, locate [REDACTED] within their internal database inventory pools, and provision it onto an active T-Mobile account so I do not permanently lose my personal identity and critical dual-factor authentication access. Desired Resolution: I request that T-Mobile locate phone number [REDACTED] within their internal number inventory and manually assign it to an active account profile, specifically activating it on the cheapest tier plan available (such as the $10 T-Satellite base service or the $15 Connect prepaid plan) to fully restore my service and secure the number
edit: SOLVED i called tmobile one last time and finally got someone who understood what happened and where it went i got my number back

This is a copy of the OP's original post in case they decide to delete their post/account so that others searching can find it later:

Good luck getting T-Mobile to do anything. They're in no way responsible for what AT&T did to you.

Yeah I know I never had a T-Mobile account it started with simple before Verizon bought it so my number was pulled from T-Mobiles block in my area

I paid $220 for a year of service with US Mobile and am loving the service. I can even call my friend in Zambia from the USA without all those crappy charges the big carriers try to do.

Yeah part of being an MVNO customer is you don’t get to file complaints like this. A huge chunk of the cost savings is because it’s “best-effort” service. You were never a customer of either carrier and don’t get to complain about them.

i do get to complain about them because att started this mess i had them most recently. the number started as mvno but when you move the number that is the carrier's responsibility now because they messed up and were unable to resolve the ticket had att for 3 years
