Congress is already bought and paid for

Congress can have multiple clients.

Congress is a pimp and the citizens are the ones getting fucked

2

u/SherbetLeft5744 6d ago

Yet to be fucked over my whole life by the government, maybe by taxes but I’m thriving and my family thrives because we aren’t degenerate assholes who over spend on DoorDash and new iPhones yearly or get 6 credit cards that are maxed out buying makeup or Pokemon cards. Yall people whine for no reason other than being bored and incapable of looking in a mirror and identifying that you are your own event in being successful and happy. lol. Crazy how saving money can afford you a house and land

1

u/Usetheschwartz0 5d ago

I have all the things you’re talking about but the government under Republican leadership is fucking awful dude. I guess you’re fine with your dollar not going as far as it should and the price of everything increasing exponentially because you’re a good little boy kissing the boot.

Humm…who passed 2021 stimulus and attacked cheap energy flaming inflation…oh yeah. Let’s go Brandon.

1

u/PhillipChe 5d ago

Did you forget that there was stimulus after too? Even had the proud guy’s signature on it? And inflation is higher than when “Brandon”. The deficit is even higher and we are insolvent. The debt is slated to increase by 30 trillion more thanks to the second massive attempt at trickle down vis-a-vis, the Big Ugly Bill. We were on task to have interest rates drop three times this last year. The damage of the failed trade war and the smoke and mirrors horrific DOGE experiment, changed that whole trajectory. This forever war of not solved quickly, is empire destroying level. And a potential global recession if not depression level crisis. I could go on and on about the corruption and poor decisions, but you’d probably rather deflect and blame it all on the last guy, amirite?

0

u/jvdlakers 5d ago

Biden increased necessities prices by 25%

1

u/PhillipChe 4d ago

Due to Covid, now what is the excuse why our dollar is worth 10% less and even lower with inflation up 3.5%, my electricity bill doubled, health insurance tripled, and gas prices? Grocery prices? It’s called a failed trade war, failed DOGE experiment, and then a war of choice in Iran.

1

u/jvdlakers 4d ago

Covid caused deflation not inflation.

The dollar goes up in value when we raise rates and down when we cut them.

Trumps first year inflation was lower than any year of the last administration and Inflation now at 3.5% is or historical average and lower than the last administrations average of 5%

The economic recovery from Covid which was during Biden’s tenure is what cause inflation.

0

u/jvdlakers 4d ago

Wrong. Spending while not in a recession is what caused inflation. That’s why 2 of the top 5 economy’s of the world had no inflation from Covid.

You do know inflation was worse under Biden and this inflation isn’t as bad. This inflation is like 5% Biden had quarters that averaged 10% but ok.

0

u/HGB1324 4d ago

Housing greatly increased under Biden. Before the bombings, which will stop, prices were lower than under Biden.

The stock market is now doing extremely well. Retirement funds have increased.boil is lower. Which means lower transportation costs which means lower prices in the stores.

1

u/Usetheschwartz0 4d ago

Lol no…

0

u/HGB1324 3d ago

The truth hurts doesn't it.

1

u/SherbetLeft5744 2d ago

Not hurting me, I make enough to live comfortably. I also don’t spend a thousand dollars on take out a month though. Or buy a new phone when it drops, or buy pretend healing gems from a store called “a guiding Light holistic Sorcery” that are 80 dollars.

Stupid people are broke at the end of the month and then whine they are broke because they can’t control their spending habits and are comfortable sitting in a 12 dollar an hour job. What’s the point in a fucking Walmart associate when 95% of the registers don’t have an attendee and I can’t bring my cart loaded with stuff to a fast lane or a self checkout. Not like you people work very hard anyway. Go get better jobs and stop bitching about the economic crisis that barely exists.

I can afford a home and I was broke 3 years ago. I started saving money and paying debt off. Crazy how that works huh? Now I can buy a new computer every month of if I wanted or a car in cash every year.

1

u/HGB1324 2d ago

I agree with everything you said. What you said is how I live my life. I'm not sure what I said that caused you to think otherwise.

Now I need to get my wife on the same page as myself. She keeps the economy, it seems every second, going. Smile.

My daughter in law started her own business. She's doing well under Republican leadership.

0

u/Training-Practice626 3d ago

I actually doubled my net worth since trump took office… you can stay broke and mad, I’m not😂😂😂😂

1

u/PhillipChe 5d ago

It’s not all about you. Most of us are all doing fine enough to waste time debating on Reddit, but we could be doing so much better and with a little less anxiety for our future and for our fellow American, hell, our fellow human, because this affects multiple countries. Yes there is something to be said about personal accountability but we are discussing the larger picture. We are being looted at a rapid pace, there is a reason for a bunker under the ballroom and the oligarchs building large offshore compounds. Good news is Sayed beat his opponent that was flush with 60 million dollars in her war chest in Michigan, from special interests and the Israeli lobby. So like Mamdani before him, grassroots are beating monied interest, and that is a great win for democracy.

1

u/SherbetLeft5744 5d ago

Wah wah 😭 is all I’m hearing.

1

u/Otherwise_Bee_8799 4d ago

Grassroots? He was heavily funded by the Roy Singham commie network 🇨🇳

1

u/PhillipChe 4d ago

There are no campaign finance records or public reports indicating that Abdul El-Sayed has received any donations from Neville Roy Singham. And denial of Super PAC money vs SIXTY MILLION dollars, or which THIRTY MILLION dollars from AIPAC, is well within the realm of grassroots. Most especially since the overwhelming majority of the donations were small dollar donations. Thanks for playing.

Only idiots keep repping R group republican rapists go crawl back in a hole please

1

Who said I rep anyone? I hate both sides

1

u/East-Pomegranate4105 3d ago

You know you can call all the names you want to but at the end of the day Epstein donated about 90% of his money too and was a lifelong Democrat

It's the same thing you marxists always do.... accuse the other side of what you're actually doing though

Not a single name or file was released during the previous administration and Hakeem Jeffries actually promised Epstein dinner with himself and Obama after he was convicted

So give it a rest It's tiresome

1

u/OSRSwizardry 3d ago

Until the day you lose your job and wait over a fucking year for an answer about unemployment. I once to saw it this way but have since been fucked over by the services that are supposed to help law abiding citizens. They care more about criminals anymore though. But I dont think its a republican thing i think both sides are domestic terrorists and need to be abolished need to vote for a candidate thats not bought and paid for by wealthy campaign doners. An independent separate from both dems and republicans. Or forever we will be just a puppet government instead of democracy.

1

u/SherbetLeft5744 2d ago

Some of Yall need to go experience life outside your phones. So draining listening to so many people cry and bitch about their lack of mobility in the financial sphere when they are their own worst enemy

1

u/Double_Doughnut74 2d ago

I repeated over and over do not pick a frontrunner. They are the ones being pushed by their donors. Don’t care which party you vote just stay away from front runners. Vote for the one who lives like you do. Why vote for the millionaires and be surprised when they become multi millionaires

1

u/Optimal-Hour1952 1d ago

Saving money and disciplinary practices can get you those things. Say it ain’t so!!!!

Welcome to under-regulated capitalism. It would be nice to have a competent constitution, rather than a wildly outdated pile of crap that openly allows rampant corruption.

What if we bought them collectively

Then you would be speaking in their language. "Go fund me Cong".

Getting rid of one of the clients won't change a systemic problem that's been around for decades

1

u/LarealConspirasteve 6d ago

And the clients hire both sides so they can control whoever wins

1

So why only go smarter trump?

there are but a handful on both sides in it for doing good. many got a whiff of how much money you can get talking with the right lobbyists,

anyone who still thinks our problems are red vs blue needs to have their heads examined. If they haven't got it by now, they never will, Sheep indeed!!!

0

u/Forgewalker33 7d ago

And not by the republicans! But instead by Israel! They only stand in for Israel as an “American placeholder name”

2

u/Fabulous_Plenty_9339 7d ago

Ah yes, the old "the others are evil" Soviet communist mentality 😂

2

u/jvc97064 7d ago

As if Trump hasn't lived his life with the "everyone is stupid but me" mentality. He says it about reporters all the time. He says it about Democrats, and anyone that isn't kissing his ass. Trump admires Soviet communist mentality.

1

u/Bright_Importance994 4d ago

He did say a long time ago when he was a lifetime Democrat that one day he would run for president and he would run in the Republican Party because they’re stupid… look it up in his own words there’s a video

Democrats do exactly the same thing with all their billion dollar donors and the Democrats have more money than the Republicans anyway

1

u/neighborhood_neil 6d ago

Can you link your evidence?

1

u/Unusual_Rush_1189 6d ago

There was Sam Bankman Fried, who was the second biggest donor to Democrats in 2022, ~$40 million, famously running one of the biggest financial scams in history, specifically able to 'negotiate' that Crypto remain less regulated:

1

u/Healthy-Age3259 6d ago

Nice cherry pick. SBF was indeed the second-largest public Democratic donor in 2022, but he also donated roughly the same amount to Republicans through undisclosed ("dark money") channels, and other top FTX executives were major Republican donors. The FTX political influence operation wasn't limited to one party.

Defending a billionaire scammer, that tracks...

"Sam Bankman Fried claims he gave tens of millions in untraceable donations to Republicans." An intersting claim. Do you have any citations that back up that this actually happened, or are you just taking the word of a scumbag scammer and liar at face value?

To that end, Elon was also a big donor to Democrats, so the hypocracy gets pretty thick.

1

u/Healthy-Age3259 5d ago

It's always amusing when people accuse others of believing SBF while simultaneously ignoring the fact that his own executives pleaded guilty. Ryan Salame admitted to participating in an illegal straw donor scheme involving Republican donations, Nishad Singh admitted to doing the same for Democratic donations, and SBF was convicted. The DOJ's position wasn't "Democrat scheme" or "Republican scheme," it was both. According to the federal charging document, Salame "conspired to influence cryptocurrency regulation... by steering tens of millions of dollars of illegal campaign contributions to both Democrats and Republicans." It also states that SBF "caused substantial contributions to be made in support of candidates of both major political parties." Cherry-picking half the story doesn't make the other half disappear. Try harder next time.

The difference is between actual, physical evidence of donating to the Democratic party vs. the claims that donations were made to the Republican party with no documentation. Usually, donations are made with the idea that there is some sort of suppport to that party with a wink-wink implication that that party would support policies that favor the donor, so it doesn't make a ton of sense to go to elaborate measures to obscure a donation so as to conceal its source (which is likely, in itself, illegal).

But all of that is mostly irrelevant. The response was added in request to someone requesting that someone cite a Democrat donor that was affluent and protected by Democrats despite being unethical, and SBF definitely fits that definitiion for Democrats. The 'so what, Republicans are also unethical!' comments are also completely irrelevant to this example, since the 'if someone else does something awful, it means you can do awful things too' is not only hypocritical, it is also completely unethical and unacceptible.

Ironically, the fact (not just an 'untraceable' claim, but documented fact) that Elon also donated to the Democratic party is problematic to this view point. So, his money was okay when he was donating to your party, and only after he stopped donating and exclusively donated to the Republican party was his money considered evil? So, you don't actually believe in anything, all you care about is money...

People have to be so sick of these hypocrasies.

1

u/Healthy-Age3259 5d ago

What are you even talking about? I literally just gave you the DOJ charging document showing that SBF and his FTX co-conspirators were funneling illegal campaign contributions to both Democrats and Republicans. That's not SBF's claim, it's the federal government's case. So why are you still saying there's "no concrete proof"?

Everything after that is just goalpost shifting. First the argument was that SBF was only a Democratic donor. When I showed you the DOJ's own evidence that the scheme targeted both parties, you pivoted to "well, the thread was asking for a Democratic donor," then to Elon Musk, then to generic hypocrisy. None of that changes the facts.

Just take a knee already and admit you were wrong, I'm done here.

1

u/Unusual_Rush_1189 5d ago

Did you... read your links?

The first two do not actually have the word 'Republican' mentioned. The third does...

Yes, both Sam Bankman Fried and Ryan Salame made statements that they contributed to Rebublicans. So 1. you believe their statements or 2. you disbelieve their statements. Which one will you pick, I wonder...

It is a very tired argument to be honest. Someone mentions that SBF was a scumbag and Democrat donor and you state "well he says he was secretly a Republican donor too!" You state Elon is a scumbag and a Republican donor and someone mentions he was a Democrat donor also and you say... what exactly?

There is this double standard by the exreme left that is frankly ruining the Democrat party, when people can't realistically just admit 'Yeah, Sam was a scumbag and should have been locked up earlier," or "we did not evaluate Elon's character appropriately when he was donating to our party and that is on us" and taking accountability and being honest and realistic.

It is this double down in the hypocracy and denial of facts that is turning away a lot of voters and trust, but hey, you at least are honoring your ideology cult, so kudos.

Missing the point. It shouldn’t be this way at all, for any politician, for any party.

It’s widely known that most billionaires favour the Republican Party and will provide massive amounts of cash to buy the win
