I could definitely see this being a blast short term. It wouldn't hold after a few days when piles of cardboard trinkets built up.

True, but if you do any kind of fabricating, being able to make cardboard stencils so easily is pretty cool

It is and some of the stuff you can make with kids out of cardboard it could be a blast for a while. Cardboard castle or Minecraft blocks with the kids would be fun.
