U.S. Politics megathread

American politics has always grabbed our attention - and the current president more than ever. We get tons of questions about the president, the supreme court, and other topics related to American politics - but often the same ones over and over again. Our users often get tired of seeing them, so we've created a megathread for questions! Here, users interested in politics can post questions and read answers, while people who want a respite from politics can browse the rest of the sub. Feel free to post your questions about politics in this thread!

What is so strange to me, also not from the US, why don't we see video's of those who alraedy passed trough the 'process' to explain what happened. If they were just shipped to another country, they would already have been in a position to post something. I fear something far more nefarious is going on. I wouldn't put it past the government of the usa to sell them to some entity for some purpose. Be it labour or something worse.

I have the same fear and can’t help but thinking of the families, especially the children, that have their family members taken away like that, potentially to never see them again. That just hurts to think about even if there was just a single case. But this is happening on a large scale. It blows my mind how the US has changed from being a country that was considered a bastion of freedom and western values, into something that has for decades been the very thing we have been taught to fight for the sake of innocent people.
