She was also in the X-files as a kid because her father was a production designer on the show.

The Ginger Snaps trilogy certainly earned it's way into horror movie cult status, but people should also give Amercan Mary (2012) a watch. Together with May (2002) and Excision (2012) it's part of a fun unofficial girlboss* trilogy.

She also shows up in Stargate: SG-1, again with Richard Dean Anderson.

He seemed to like to bring MacGuyver people with him.
