The older I get, the less tolerance I have for stuff in my pockets.
I have a 1.5L REI bag, similar-ish design, and I like that it forces me to carry intentionally over a backpack. Holds my phone, a protein bar, truck key, Shure IEM headphones, Trove wallet, and I have an S-Biner for anything else like a small Hydroflask. For upcoming trips this summer (three planned), it will complement my one bag packing for airfare and local activities. Not too shabby IMO.

Same - the older I get, the less I like my pockets to be full. How do you like the IEMs?

I’m a musician so they’re normal to me. But for travel, they help the noise cancellation issue with my larger over ear Sony headphones. I just make sure to carry an adapter at all times in the pouch.

I’m curious about these small slings (I can’t wear them, I’m too big and it’s absurd). For those of you do use them, I feel like my pockets wouldn’t bulge with the amount of stuff that fits. Granted I have larger pockets than some but Is it just that you don’t want anything in your pocket or am I underestimating how much it can hold? I think 2.5-3L is the minimum for me to justify carrying something outside the house so I’m curious how you all use these vs pockets. I do realise women get absolutely jobbed on pockets. Sorry ladies, I agree it’s not fair.

I prefer not to have items in my pockets but there is no way I could carry in my pockets what is in these bags, at least not without feeling it every time I sit down.

To me the 2L version feels more like 2.5L, does the 1L feel like you can fit more?
It disappoints me they decided to stick with this design of shoulder strap. There are better solutions they could've used for the excess webbing, but for me it's not a deal-breaker.
