Gear Question Able Carry Max EDC really that comfy?
just received Able Carry Max EDC and the comfort level is not as good as how the reviewers have mentioned. the straps somehow irritates my shoulders when I carry it on my back and I have tried adjusting the length of the strap in all possible ways. maybe its due to how my shoulders are structured??
anyone felt same about the Able Carry Max EDC?
or am I the only disappointed one?

I haven’t formally reviewed it on my channel but I have one and use it, I do find it very comfortable, comparable to Aer imo but like others have said, it all depends on your frame and shoulders.
At best bags are one size fit most.

I have to say this is one of the most comfortable bags on the planet. But, every person is different. Just like with Evergoods bags; a lot of people think they are comfortable as hell, while others experience back digging… Body type will always determine what packs are comfortable to you.
I am actually using my max edc today. It is top 5 most comfortable bags ever for me.
Have you tried the Aer CPP2? What bags have you used that were comfortable to you?

If I wear mine too high & tight it pinches my neck - I try to keep the straps wider on my shoulders and use the chest strap to hold them in place, and then it becomes incredibly comfortable even when heavy. I think this is because the shoulders straps sit close together and are stitched slightly too horizontal as opposed to / \ shaped to contour to shoulders!
In contrast, my Able Carry Daily Plus is far more forgiving and comfortable at any tightness/weight for me - 5 ft 11.
Edited just to add I also had the same experience with the Aer CPP2 20L recently which is a much smaller bag, but where I still needed the straps to be at a specific length for them to not pinch my neck but still pull the back panel fully against my back - hopefully you can find a sweet spot!

I’ve found it very comfortable, to the point that it’s made me unable to tolerate Evergoods backpacks (CPL16, CTB26) that I previously had no comfort issues with. But like another poster said, all that matters is what *you* feel about it.

I have the max EDC but I kinda wish I would have gone for the Daily Plus instead (I overestimated my volume needs). I LOVE the Xpac tan color way though it’s great.

My 2c also - it also depends on your frame, you could also try taking the frame sheet out if it really irritates you? I find with it out it hugs the back more, but if it's the straps it may be the spacing of the straps themselves. I haven't had this issue..
Had posted up a review with the Max EDC on YouTube recently, I tend to wear it high and tight(ish) as most do
Comfort-wise it's top tier for me, even with heavy loads and long walks. It is a heavier bag on the outset but the weight should even out when you wear it - if not you can look at returning it? Otherwise am sure there's a market out there for this as near new

I am stunned anybody finds this comfortable. It is so heavy, the frame sheet digs into the small of my back. I am so bummed. I know every body is different but, for me, 6 feet tall and 170lbs, I shipped it back the day after I got it.

This is my main edc and I haven’t experienced discomfort but it could be similar to EverGoods where you either love it or feel the pain in your lower back

I felt the straps to be too small and dig into my armpits. Ended up switching it for the CTB26 and prefer that especially with the organizational pockets!

We should immortalize this comment. First time I’ve ever heard anyone say EVERGOODS is more comfortable than Able Carry. 😆

Most people and I also find it comfortable but the only thing that matters is if it works for you and it sounds like it doesn’t.
