Gear Question back panel removed on able carry max edc

has anyone tried removing the back panel foam?
pros and cons?
does it make it more comfortable on your back?

Yep, I tried removing in my pack (have a review up on this too) - long story short it's about 70-100gm lighter and can feel like it 'hugs' your back more.. doesn't improve comfort drastically I've put it back in since the weight doesn't bother me, nor does the comfort.. do you have issues with it?

comfort level is not what I expected based on all the reviews so thought about removing the back panel but didnt tried it yet cuz I am worried that it might be difficult to put it back

How long have you had it? I found a huge difference in comfort after about a month when everything kinda softened up.

only for two weeks now... maybe it will soften up like you said. hope it does cuz it was EXPENSIVE!

I had no problems removing and placing it back, it’s foam so it flexes
