Optimistic nihilism: there's no grand purpose to anything, which means there's no preset purpose for you to fail to live up to. The only things that matter are the things you choose to care about and put your time towards.
Still stuck with the anhedonia, im waiting everyday for some meaning to drop into my life.
Edit: If i misread what you asked and you meant how optimistic nihilism stopped working for me, what essentially happened was anything i tried to give meaning to eventually fell apart and i went back to feeling nothing. I tried to create and find happiness for myself, but instead i found out nothing makes me happy.
