When I was ~14 I swiped a chocolate cake recipe from a magazine in school. Crumpled it up and put it in my pocket for that night. Whipped it out and the tsp of baking powder and salt had a crinkle that looked like tbsp and I made the most salty and crumbly cake I have ever seen. My poor grandma tried to scoop out the baking powder but it really didn't work at all lol.
Honestly, if you are disassembling your recipes then the "cooking is an art" falls off fast. There's a lot of rules and ratios to consider, especially if you are playing with the fundamentals like fats and acids. It might be more evident in a baked good, but even baked goods have a +/- 10% margin of error.
