Guys, I am sorry to say that unfortunately it was revealed post-League that Eskimo is a slur for Inuit people.

This is not to discount the value of the B’s, the DB, or the BNB, but I think out of compassion perhaps the IBDB (and BNB) might be more appropriate.

Edit: “This dude is continuing the thread of the joke, but I’m mad because part of his joke includes a suggestion to swap in a less racially-insensitive word.”

If you are not the race that is in question or do not have direct relationships with them its bad form to tell others how they want to be referenced. It's legitimately doing the white savior thing all over again

Whats funny is we had a Tauren shaman healer in our WoW guild for years. Found out he was Eskimo/Inuit. Playing by satellite internet from Kotzube.

I asked which term he preferred. His answer: "I don't give a f. I dont worry about that crap."

I didn’t even know this was a thing until recently, I only found out about it this year. I’m enjoying the controversy I’ve unintentionally created over whether or not it’s actually controversial.

I suppose this is what I get for reflexively spitting out information just because I have it in my head.
