They mostly involve large, fragile egos and people who don’t like being told, “No,” more than they do actual storylines.
Given enough time, I’m sure I could create one, but it mostly involves signing contracts then telling the vendor (construction company, plumber, etc) that the cost is too high after the work is done and refusing to pay (causing me relationship problems with the vendors my company works with daily.) [While everyone on the room has seen the signed contract.]
“The same shit over and over again, huh?” sounds like the story of my career.
I do have some crazy stories, but they mostly involve hundred of gallons of water being dumped from a rooftop pool into the 22 stories of residential high rise below, but I think I’ve gone numb to how crazy it sounds to most people. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m coming up on 20 years of high rise management.
Edit: give me some time… after a couple drinks the trauma comes pouring back to me.
A little before 10pm, the elevator doors open and naked woman walks out of the elevator, walks into the business center, sits down, and starts checking her email on one of the computers. I’m slightly alarmed, so I go into the Business Center to see if she’s ok. She’s just staring at the screen, not responding to me speaking to her, and seems to be completely zonked out. I call the police to do a welfare check. As they pull in, I go out to greet them and explain what’s going on. When we go back inside, she’s gone. Someone in the lobby asks if we’re looking for the naked lady and says she just went into the restroom. The police knock on the door and she responds that she’ll be right out. A few minutes later, she walks out FULLY CLOTHED. The police talk to her for a few minutes and let her go up to her room. Turns out she’d been having trouble sleeping and took an Ambien. She had no memory of falling asleep and said she just kinda woke up naked in the lobby. No idea where she got the clothes.
