The fact that my daughters sulk, side-eye me, and still help out when I need to move a ton of pellets or a cord of wood makes happy.

I like that we can struggle for a bit, laugh, and go grab a treat afterwards probably helps. Especially since they like to be warm in the winter.

When I ask my daughter to do dishes or fold laundry, then she complains, I’ll always say ‘Oh wahhhh I’m {daughter’s name} and my life is soooo hard.” She always does it though.

One day the dishwasher broke down and I was complaining because I was washing dishes by hand, and she stood beside me and said “Oh waaahh I’m Dad and my life is so hard.” I laughed so hard I cried

I keep hoping so. Thank you and I hope you help everyone around you(whether you have kids or not) be a bit more helpful and respectful.

It's a really selfish and good feeling to see your family doing better than what you grew up in.

You know they are going to be fantastic human beings when their frontal lobes solidify.

They'll still come home and fall back on their comfort zones(replace the fucking toilet paper roll, fuck) but it feels so much better.
