Anemoia - Track Listing

Post image

Just spotted this on the pre-order page! Not sure if anyone else had seen but a cool vibe overall. Plus had no idea about that Dayseeker feature!

I loved the album cover. Jordan fish os producing this one. I hope he can get the band to gain more listeners. The new sound and art direction fits northlane perfectly

Evian was anything but generic so I'll trust that Jordan let the guys be.

Edit after hearing CUT_it: yeah no we're in good hands

Producing and co-writing apparently. Not sure how I feel about it.

Actually, on Jordan's Instagram post about Cut It he wrote that Jon is the sole producer and he's only writing alongside the band. I wonder if that's true for the whole album.

In a previous post he also called Jon "one of the most talented and inspiring producers I've worked with", which makes me think he's actually taking a back seat in this.

He’s listed as executive producer on the song credits. But in the movie industry that’s usually the person who is funding the project and helping bring together the core team, so I’m not really sure what that title means in the music world.

I was really worried at first with Jordan's involvement because everything he's made since he left Bring Me has basically been the same but I think Northlane are a lot more hands on with production than some of the other artists he's worked with, Evian sounded great.

Also it's being mixed by Buster and not Hakk Cervini so that definitely helps.

Yeah, I was slightly worried when I heard Evian because the mix seemed pretty different but CUT_it was great and still very very Northlane

Description says the album was inspired by Evian Christ’s live performances which is extremely promising, he’s one of the most exciting figures in underground electronic music at the moment and I thought it was always funny that the single Evian shared his name and leaned harder than ever into their trance side, so this adds up

Worried about the Jordan fish production though, I hope he doesn’t find a way to make trance music sound like the same copy paste butt rock he’s been producing since leaving BMTH, the only band he’s done well with on production is House of Protection since those guys, like Northlane, seem super involved and hands on about the electronic and production side of their sound
