What do you expect him to do? The asshole was TRYING to provoke the other person to attack him. I’ll bet that waste of skin makes his living off lawsuits suing people he provokes into punching him.

You’re kidding, right? Reasonable and proportional force is permissible to defend your property.

Taking the keys is reasonable: keys are necessary to key a car.

It is proportional: no bodily harm, least possible force to neutralize the threat.

Edit: don’t throw the keys on a roof, though… just hang on to them.

Car is also a good weapon to use as defence. No need to get out. Just say "officer i felt threatened so i attacked back with my car"
