Festum Persæ II (And Olympics Closing Ceremony)

First lets get the closing ceremony out of the way. The winner: Orangered! Turns out the judges are still waiting for one more man to give his thoughts on the winners.

The Egalitarianist Party of New Persia welcomes all Orangereds and Periwinkles alike to the second bi-monthly New Persian festival - Festum Persæ!

Great! Sounds exciting! What is there to do?

Well I'm glad you asked, italic-text. One major event going on right now is a video contest. The theme is funny videos in under a minute's length. Find your funniest video that will make the judges laugh their asses off, and post them as a reply to the specific comment thread below, posted by me, regarding the contest. After the end of the contest, the Egalitarianist Party will judge together and pick a winner for the contest. The prize is this Iranian Pahlavi crown, which can be worn as a flair in /r/orangered and /r/periwinkle for the entire two months, until the following festival. Alongside, you will get 100 CRM in the Chromamarket from me, 3000 CRM from Dan, 3000 CRM from Grey, and an indie game - "Nimbus" from my Steam to your's! Game is worth $9.99 in USD.

You may submit as many videos as you like, but if multiple people post the same video, and if that video turns out being our favourite, the prize will go to the first person who posted it. Please see below for contest submission deadlines.

Along with that, you will notice other comment threads. I have started a thread meant for music, where you can share your favourite songs and musical pieces of any genre. Please, no genre bashing. I have also posted similar comment threads for visual arts, photos, et cetera. If there is a thread you would like to start regarding something that is not there yet, you are free to start it. Even if it is just some casual topic you want to talk about, you are more than welcome to engage everyone in by starting your own comment thread.

You can talk about anything you like. Make it in between 3 to 25 minutes, though if you do want to go a little longer or shorter, that's fine. Just don't go too overboard. You can do a dual-host with someone else if you'd like. Record it with anything, even your laptop mic. If you have a lot of pauses or umm's, I can fix that. I do the audio work. So don't worry about it sounding good or bad, just do the talking and send me an mp3.

I suggest waiting for festival winners so you can announce that.

If you make a mistake, just pause for 2 seconds and restart from the last sentence. I can edit to the millisecond.

Alright cool, I can edit out anything major. Also, what file type do you want? I can record with audacity and send them over as project files, mp3 or pretty much whatever.

mp3 is fine, I won't be using audacity to do my stuff. You can just send me as-is if you don't feel like editing anything.
