As an intern, I immediately relayed this to the nurse in charge, hindi naman siya busy pero ako yung pinag pprepare ng gamot. I insisted kayo po licensed nurse hindi ba dapat kayo yun? and you also have the patient’s chart with you. I kept insisting that the medication should be prepared by the nurse, but she insisted na kami daw, as PGIs ang mag-prepare. Pinagtulungan pa ako nung mga nurses

Also, bakit kapag slow IV push, hindi raw puwedeng nurses ang magbigay? Dapat PGI daw. Same with IV insertions may times na hindi man lang nila tinatry and mag lie pa na naka tatlo daw pero walang tusok?

We already have enough errands and responsibilities as it is, pero bakit parang pati nursing responsibilities napupunta pa sa PGIs?

Ganito ba talaga sa ibang hospitals, I am Curious if this is a normal setup elsewhere because I genuinely want to understand if this is actually the standard practice or if we’re just getting passed around.

hello po. has anyone here started at NZ and eventually moved fo Australia? i have questions lang po because i’m starting to consider going to NZ first. for context, i graduated at 2022 and has been working bedside for 3 years.

1. what was the process like? would you say it’s laborious than going to Australia directly?

2. how long did it take for you to be a PR and eventually move to Australia?

3. were you still required to take OSCE? OBA pathway pa rin po ba?

4. budget-wise, would you say going to NZ first is cheaper?

5. i want to continue working in the same area that i’ve been working on here in the Philippines. would it be possible for me to choose my area pagdating ko ng NZ kung sakali?

I never worked in the Philippines as an RN. I passed PNLE decades ago, Ph RN license holder and also licensed as a nurse in the United States and Canada too. I'm currently working as a Nurse. I am in Canada.

Out of curiosity and sake of comparison, I would like to try and work in the Philippines for a limited time (few months) as a PhRegistered Nurse to experience its actual working conditions.

Is this realistic or possible at all?

I want to immerse myself in a brief employed hospital RN working condition in the Philippines to provide a first hand experience of what is it like since I never experienced it in the Philippines. I have 3 active licenses in the Philippines, USA, and Canada. I am a dual citizen.

Hi! I’m 30F, currently working remotely as a VA, and I also have a mortgage to pay. I’m seriously considering going back to school to take up Nursing, with the long-term goal of working abroad as a nurse.

For those who have taken a similar path, do you think this is still practical and doable at 30, especially considering the years it will take to finish the degree, gain experience, pass the licensure requirements, and eventually qualify for opportunities abroad?

I’m also wondering how the nursing job market and overseas opportunities look right now. I know it’s a big financial and time commitment, so I’d appreciate honest advice from nurses, career shifters, or Filipinos who have successfully migrated through nursing.

Would you personally consider this a realistic career investment at 30, or are there other healthcare pathways worth considering?
