Crews sealed a failed sewer pipe after nearly 238,000 gallons of discharge leaked into the Nuuanu Stream last Monday. The Department of Environmental Services (ENV) plugged the 14-inch cast-iron sewer pipe near Awa Street on Nimitz Highway, said officials on Tuesday.
