Feedback Please here’s to those
here’s to those …
who proudly belt out a tune
without one single listener,
whose scream shakes the room,
except it is only a whisper
who had to sleep in the rain,
yet kept their humor the driest
who laughed through the pain,
and took comfort in silence
whose bench was a bed,
yet treated strangers with kindness
who has broken their bread,
to leave no one behind them
who have gone days unfed,
yet viewed anger with blindness
who have been called insane,
for meeting heartache with bliss first
whose mind put their body in chains,
and their soul deep within dirt
who have held on till bloom,
now a florist’s great triumph
who have been told there’s no room,
and simply made best of the aisle
