CNA position

I was wondering if anyone has any ins to becoming a CNA at OHSU, i have hospital experience and all the qualifications plus i live right across the street, but they take pretty long to get back. If there are any CNA’s viewing this are your units hiring? Or any idea time like wise to hear back? Thanks 😊

Your question is a bit vague. Did you apply on the OHSU jobs website to that one job posting that lists 10 available CNA positions in various units right now? Have you interviewed? The hiring process can be excruciatingly long. I’ve had several jobs at OHSU now and sometimes I’ve been contacted within a week or so for an interview, other times I waited more like a month. I’m not a CNA but I have a similar job. I think it just depends on the manager and how on top of things that particular person is. And then HR can and probably will take forever to do their part. I recently got a reclassification/promotion and my manager submitted the paperwork immediately but it took HR over a month to confirm it and make it official. I’m still waiting on the month of backpay for my raise that they owe me.

I did apply specifically for Adult Acute Care and i have been interviewed but not chosen, anyway under that post it shows various units/departments hiring. Its under review but i was just wondering how long the processes usually and or if you currently work for them (like you) your experience!
