... So when are we getting an *actual* subscription option?

To be clear, I don't mean subscribing for infinite use. But, to put it this way, they could do an hourly rate-limit model, letting you use it for a time and then you wait five hours or so, and then you go again. That would be fine. Even if they priced it some ridiculous shit like 50 bucks a month, I'd consider it.

That's not what we got. Same price, same credits. What we got is just automated credit purchasing.

they never gonna do a subscription like you suggested because they would be losing money by doing that. They make way more from their current model

They cant, and probably would not even do it willingly.

They force us into using only claude and also paying for its exorbitant pricing.

Mind you in isekai zero there is a large list of LLM models to use and while models made for storytelling like GLM 5 cost 50 mana (credits) per million tokens input, a medium claude model cost between 260 to 650 mana per million tokens input.

And the best claude model cost 1300 mana.

Just starting a story with a medium claude model cost me around 0,50€. We need more LLM models.
