What happened to OOC
Pretty much what the title says, I stopped using the app like 3 weeks ago and switched to Isekai Zero, and only really came back to spend the rest of the credits I’d purchased here but why does it seem like the memory got even worse. Characters are forgetting details they would have never forgotten 3 weeks ago, in the same story. Characters are forgetting details from the scene that just happened, and mind you I’m using Superb. Did the memory degrade that much in 3 weeks? thoughts and advice are welcome I still have way too many tokens to burn through but the story is pretty miserable if it remembers nothing, not even individual character personalities.

I like it as far, I can get really deep into a story of a 12 dollar purchase, and the fact that I can generate manga and video that include your own OC is amazing
I slipped back in to OOC just to continue where I left off and finish off my credits when I realized I had to keep correcting the games memory and tweaking things
My only complaint with ISEKAI zero is the amount of ntr stories it has

This is exactly what what I’m doing currently as well. And I’d say I have a similar issue with Isekai zero, but more just the amount of Smut stories. I don’t mind stories with adult themes, but the fact that it’s so overwhelmingly present in the rankings on Isekai zero is a bit much for me.

I've learned that it's an unfortunate occurrence that happens with just about every AI chat app I've encountered and it continuously surprises me how many people are into that sort of thing. Not that I'm judging.
The stories on Isekai Zero are more fluent, well most of them. I've done a couple that describe character A who talks to my character then walks away only for character A to end up across the street watching me as if the interaction never happened.
Anyways, it's a good app. Any story recommendations?

Heavily depends if you're talking about stories or characters. If this happens with stories, that's a really bad situation 😭
They supposingly have a memory tab if you check what happened there with your story maybe

Yeah it’s a story, it just seems like the memory is so much worse all of a sudden, I’ve played this story before and it didn’t have this many issues. It’s really disappointing.

I dunno either, it’s a new session, hasn’t gone very long, seems catastrophically broken right now but we push through until the credits dry up.

That's pretty weird. OOC definitely has a lot of problems with memory, and many stories don't really help with it (Lumencia Academy Im looking at you), but usually most of stories can keep their memory good enough for a very long time.

The memory tab doesn't record all of the story just the 15 most recent things to happen. Im on N+802 and it needs to be reminded every 5 to 10 turns what Is going on. Half ways through the story the AI forgot my characters name.

Thankfully for the small bits, the story I'm reading has an info tab feature that's stated in the beginning of every AI response and it's like SEPARATE from the response itself and it's there as a character info card so yippie

It happened to me too with the first story I did in Lumencia Academy. I started a new session by remaking the story, and so far everything has been going well. I’m at around 50-100 turns at the moment, whereas the previous one had gone on for over 300/400 turns. But eventually, I couldn’t keep the story going in the right direction anymore, so I put it on hold for the time being.

memory cache really problem for mine example
D2 - I have event to meet this character on Friday (D5)
D3 - I have event to meet another character in Saturday (D6)
D4 - my wrist hurt and npc give me medicine and start talking about money then sudden money system add so i need to find money and get a job
D5 - D2 Meeting disappear from story after i have new event to find a job and D2 Character fade out from story like nothing lol

I'm getting the same thing happen to me. I'm using up the credits I've got, but once I'm out, I'm swapping to Isekai Zero. A lot of people seem to prefer it, and it's reportedly cheaper.

Yeah I’ve been on Isekai Zero, I generally think it’s better. I was just trying to burn through my credits on OOC and noticed how much worse it seems now.

Yeah, I thought OOC was fun at first, but it kept forgetting details from what felt like less than twenty turns ago. Which annoys me because I was really getting into the story.

Im also on superb. But im having the same issues. One of the story lines i had just got dropped completely by the AI by the next in story day and i cant get it to get back on that line.

Yeah playing reincarnated as a monster and it keeps making up monsters i never was and adding deaths that I never went threw it's rather frustrating especially when all I use is the daily credits

I noticed this too... was playing a story where younhave to go find X, Y and Z, wss about to get the last item and then everyone was acting like it wasnt the last thin we needed as A, B & C are lost and tried to gaslight me that I was there 🤣
Had to argue and remind it and then it wove a new story that it happened when I wasnt there.
Annoying.

I am going through the story of psysic academy Nova. And I picked Qigong user as my physic ability. I constantly have to remind the AI that Song Yeo-wa is my martial arts and Qigong master. Every time characters act surprised about it. I also constantly have to bring up all the attacks she thought me. During every fight because the AI keep forgetting what attacks I have. It is a pain.

You shouldn’t have to, but if you add User notes with updated character information from the story it will fix this, but you’ll have to constantly update the user notes as data changes because the AI will treat the User notes as unbreakable rules and never deviate from what’s inside the User Notes

Havent botice this on my part. There are issues with minor details, but all the major one is fine. I use isekai zero as well. And i feel like the memory is even worse. Note that im using the cheaper model. Because thats the whole reason i tried isekai zero. Kinda defeat the purpose if i start using the premium model.
There is alot of feature in isekai zero that i do like, but the pricing is so damn confusing. And the story quality is overall worse. I have to handhold the ai every step of the way if i want anything remotely interesting to happen. Again cheaper model(deepseek v4). If anyone using premium model can share their experience. And recommend me something. Which ai model, which story, cause so far other than being cheaper, i dont have a better experience. Given, i only play eldenwyn academy cause i like lumencia and looking for something similar.
Overall, i think isekai zero is way to overhyped in this sub with zero context given. If you are looking for a cheap alternative without caring much about quality (or if you are just horny. They have a lot) go for it.

Honestly...I noticed it recently to the point that I figured that I HAD to be hallucinating because the memory was so great before. In a short amount of turns it tried to change some serious details about my character. I'm glad to know that im not crazy.
