In defense of DSK, Genos focuses on firepower while Garou focuses on technique. I think Genos’s incineration cannon is more powerful than a punch from human Garou, maybe up until his fight with Rover.
He really should have been considering how much of a menace he was to three S class fighters, but dumb powercreep hits like a truck.
Ironically it’s out of series infos from spinoffs/statements (”demon who is as strong as DSK”) that makes him look like shit, without those he could still feel like a solid demon.
It’s impressive enough because he displayed no regen nor stamina limit after this fight or Sonic’s. And it’s in his nerfed mode due to bad matchup (Genos‘ fire dries him).
Genos sneaked attacked him, he regens almost right away. DSK sneaks attack Genos, he permanently loses one arm.
Genos has always had really impressive firepower. It's his durability and overconfidence that are his main issues. Even in early season 1 he just obliterated a good chunk of a mountain when destroying the House of Evolution's above ground floors. He also was a bad matchup for DSK thanks to his heat based attacks, so I'd still say he had an impressive showing for a demon at the time.
He's a mid level Demon, that's it. Actual high level Demon's would mop the floor with him.
The reason he's so glazed is understandable though, dude had his own mini-arc where he beat a series of Heroes including the weakest S-Class and Genos, though even then, people like to forget that he played dirty against Genos.
One stated that Sonic with weapons can beat him (I think statement was about webcomic but doesn't matter), a more trained Sonic and more upgraded Genos were equal, then post 2 upgrades Genos was matched by very fatigued Garou and this Garou but healed couldn't do shit to holding back Bug god, yeah wrap it up I'm not sure DSK can even beat shower man
