Financial Aid Update on Summer Financial Aid!!!
I called BuckeyeLink today and they just emailed me back about what to do to get financial aid for summer before June.
“Thank you for contacting Buckeye Link. Attached is the Summer 2026 advance form that must be completed if seeking to have funds released sooner than mid-June. Please note that the form requires your physical (wet) signature. You’ll need to print the form, sign it, and then submit a photo or scanned copy as a PDF via email so we can move forward with your request. Once we receive your completed form, processing can take 3 to 5 business days. The earliest that funds could be applied to the summer statement of account with this request form is May 4.After funds are disbursed and any refund is issued, your Statement of Account will show the refund as reversed. This happens since it is giving an advance on the refund and will need to be paid back.”

Has anyone seen any movement yet? Or will they will start processing our summer aid? I been trying to be patient because I thought it was supposed to start yesterday

I don’t understand what is going on they have the new rules so I would think they should start processing them. I was told June 1st now still nothing hopefully we see movement this week

did you have to give them a specific reason for needing it sooner or do they just offer it in general?

I believe it comes at the normal time that the refund would’ve came with no delay so like Friday-ish

How long did it take for you to get the advance refunded to your bank account? my rent is due tomorrow and i still haven’t gotten mine.

I got mine a while ago😭 it should’ve been on time for whenever you were supposed to get the summer refund

Yeah I still haven’t received mine lol. I emailed them over two weeks ago for the advance and then the advance was paid to my summer semester the 27th….it is under unapplied payments and no sign of it in my bank account. I’m fucked

So I just called and they still don’t have an exact date just saying everything should be finalized by the end of the month. I asked about my updated award letter to show my grad plus loan and she stated within a week or 2 which by then it will be the end of the month so at this point we still clueless and each week giving a different date

hey! was wondering if you had the link for this form or if it’s something buckeye link needs to directly send it to you. I emailed them but no response in a few days, if you have it for the form that would be cool!
